 Senator Ayogu Eze is dead Senator Ayogu Eze from Enugu State is reportedly dead. Born in 1958, he was aged 66. The Senator represented Enugu North Senatorial District in the National Assembly. A source told newsmen that Eze, a former Senate spokesman, died in an Abuja hospital after a protracted illness. According to the source, the late Senator has been down, a situation that made him unable to attend his child’s wedding ceremony held earlier in the year in Lagos State. He was a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, before he defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC, where he ran for Enugu State governorship election. In the Senate, he was appointed chairman of the senate committee on Information and Media, making him the official spokesman of the senate in 2007. After his reelection to the senate in 2011, he was appointed chairman of the committee on works. Image result for oyo-ita                 The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita has assured the Federal Civil Servants in the country of Government's commitment to see to the successful and full implementation of the Federal Integrated Staff Housing {FISH} programme.Mrs Oyo-Ita stated this today in her office in Abuja during the commissioning ceremony of the ''FISH Client Centre;;,located at the ground floor of Block E,Federal Secretariat Complex phase 11,Abuja.She said that the Federal Government was determined in not only making FISH programme work,but also putting in place machineries that will sustain it and promised that a comprehensive brochure about the FISH programme will soon be made available free of charge to all applicants to create more awareness on the programme and correct the mis-perceptions of the guidelines and criteria involved before one is eligible too own his own house under the scheme.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
