A dramatic scene unfolded in a Lagos court when a defendant attempted to flee on the day of his arraignment after requesting to use the restroom. He allegedly tried to escape through the toilet ceiling, prompting officers to initiate a search when he went missing. Following numerous unanswered calls and a fruitless search of the restroom, officers warned him to surrender, threatening to shoot if he did not comply. Eventually, he emerged from his hiding place in the ceiling and was apprehended.
