A teenage young man suddenly got up and ran out of his best friend's house, with no shoes on. He was never seen alive again.  Traevion Pirtle, 18, was found deceased in Indianapolis at 8:45 p.m. on March 13th. He had been missing since March 7th. Traevion's friends say that on Saturday, March 7th, Traevion inexplicably ran out of the house with no shoes on. The young man gave no explanation. He just ran from the home on the 3600 block of Cedar Pine Lane. He left his cell phone and his car at the home and vanished. For the next week, friends and family desperately searched for Traevion. They canvased the area handing out flyers and talking to people. They were searching for any kind of answer. According to some people close to the case they were informed he had taken mushrooms. This still doesn't explain what he actually passed away from.  Traevion had just been accepted into college in Florida. He seemingly had a bright future ahead. Family says he was a hard worker. MISSOURI MAN HAD HIS FRIEND CUT OFF HIS FEET IN A FAKE FARMING ACCIDENT. (PHOTO).

Missouri man had his friend cut off his feet in a fake farming accident.

How badly does someone want an insurance payout? One Missouri man wasn't wiling to give an arm and a leg but apparently had no qualms with a couple of feet.

An unamed man who is a paraplegic thought he had come up with a brilliant way to get a large payday. Back in November of 2023 in West Plains, Missouri, a call went out to first responders for a farming accident.

When they arrived on scene, sure enough the man had a tourniquet on each leg and his feet were missing. When we say missing, we mean the feet were literally missing. The man told first responders his feet had been caught in his brush hog while mowing.

That was one fact that led first responders to believe that something shady was "afoot".

Another clue was the extremely clean cuts on both feet. This is not indicative of having your feet cut of by a brush hog. The first responders also wondered who had put the tourniquet on the man's legs.

It was quickly determined that the whole incident was staged to conduct insurance fraud. The investigation uncovered that a man from Florida had made the long trip to the Missouri Ozarks and chopped off the individuals feet with a hatchet. A few days after the incident, a family member called local law enforcement to inform them they had found the feet in a bucket on the property.

No charges were filed as the man never actually filed an insurance claim when it became apparent that police were on to his scheme.
