 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents.               The Anambra State Police Command yesterday tuesday paraded over 10o criminal suspects involving cult members,armed-robbery gangs,child-traffickers and some others at the command headquarters in Awka.The State Commissioner of Police CP Garba Baba Umar while parading the suspects said the feat was in line with his determination to rid Anambra state off criminal elements as well as ensure that the existing peace in the state was not truncated by the activities of hoodlums.Umar also explained that in order to stem the tide of crime and criminality as well as make the people of Anambra state safe and secured,the command has sustained its crime prevention strategies thereby relying solely on actionable intelligence and successfully cracked down some hideouts.He said that the command cracked down on criminal conspiracy,child stealing and making false statement.According to the CP,the police in Anambra also arrested a child trafficking syndicate,armed-robbery suspects and recover

                   Anambra State Police command has arrested a 24-year old woman,Oluchi Emeobi from Nnewi Ichi of Nnewi North LGA of Anambra State for allegedly selling her two months old baby for N250,000.Anambra state police commissioner,Umar Garbage who briefed journalists said the suspect used part of the proceeds of the sale to purchase a motorcycle,which was also confiscated by the command,Emeobi according to police conspired with on Nchedochi Richard,Female,aged 26years,of the same address to sell the baby to a woman,popularly known as First Lady,who he said was now at large.The commissioner said in order to conceal her dastardly act,the suspect reported at the Police Station under false pretence that she left her baby under the custody of a yet to be ascertained woman who absconded with her.''Exhibits recovered from the principal suspect include; Sun of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira {#250,000} cash and One Motorcycle the suspect allegedly bought with part of the

                                                                                     According to one of my reporter Chinenye Genevieve,who just sent in this pictures with the caption ''A 14 year old pupil was crushed to death on monday by a fast-moving vehicle while being pursued by a masquerader a.k.a Okorosha,at Ogbaku,in Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State.A witness said that the boy,who was on his way to school at about 9am,took to his heels on sighting the masquerader,while the masquerader took advantage of his fright to chase him till he ran into the path of the vehicle on the Onitsha-Owerri Road,a few metres from a police division in the area.After the incident,the masquerader was said to have mixed with other masqueraders,leaving the boy in a pool of blood.Another witness,Mr Linus Iwuji,blamed the community leaders for allowing the masqueraders to roam freely on busy roads rather than restricting them to the village square.''I blame the community lea
