 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents.               Yesterday saturday August 1st,Bobbi Kristina Brown who tragically passed away last week,at the age of 22,was finally laid to rest .After the funeral,Bobbi Kristina's closest friends and family members gathered at her aunt Pat Houston's house for a post funeral reception.But there was a twist to the post funeral party because when a bus filled with people coming from the funeral arrived at Pat's house.the sad crowd turned into a party celebrating Bobbi Kristina's life.More photos below.                                                 

UNKNOWN GUNMEN IN MILITARY UNIFORMS,ASSASSINATED THE PRESIDENT OF BURUNDI'S ALLY TODAY.

                  According to the Burundian President and other witnesses,gunmen wearing military uniforms shot dead a former Burundi security chief who was a close ally of president Pierre Nkurunziza today sunday.General Adolphe Nshimirimana,who was in charge of the president's personal security at the time of his death,was killed in a car alongside three of his bodyguards in the Kamenge district of the capital Bujumbura.Witnesses said the four attackers wore military fatigues and sprayed the car with bullets,then drove off shortly after 8am.''Two had machine guns and two others rocket launchers.They came in military lorry and returned back in the same car.He has been killed by a bullet..He was in the car with some bodyguards but i don't know exactly what happened''.

A HOTEL MANAGER IN ISOLO LAGOS UCHE EGWUENU,FOUND DEAD IN ONE OF THEIR HOTEL ROOMS YESTERDAY.

                     Mr Uche Egwuenu,the Operations Manager of Maybeny Hotel at Ire-Akari Road in Isolo,Lagos was found dead in one of the rooms in the hotels,yesterday saturday.A source close to the hotel told NAN in Lagos that the deceased was the son of the owner of the hotel,whose name was given simply as Chief Egwuenu.''The deceased was last seen in the early hours of friday before locking himself up in one of the rooms.Nobody heard from him throughout friday.The assistant manager and other staff of the hotel reported the matter at the Isolo Divisional Police Headquarters,which prompted the DPO's visit to the hotel for assessment.The DPO and others forced the room open and Uche was found dead and swollen on the bed,an inication that he died more than 24 hours before discovery.White liquid substance suspected to be hard drugs,diary and a bottle of Orjin drink with mixed liquid,were recovered from the room''.The Lagos State Police Command's Spokeswoman,DSP Pa

               According to sources,Dozens of activists including men were wearing bra to stage a protest in Hong Kong today sunday after a woman was sentenced to three and a half months in jail for assaulting a police officer with her breast.30 year old Nig Lai-ying was sentenced on thursday for assaulting a police officer during a chaotic protest against mainland Chinese cross order traders in March.She was found guilty of using her chest to bump against the arm of Chief Inspector Chan Ka-po.She was bailed pending an appeal.Ng Lai-ying had previously told the court that she yelled ''Indecent assault'' out of fear immediately after the Chief inspector Chan's hand landed on her left breast when he failed to grab the strap of her bag.The protest was caption ''Breast walk'' and hundreds of people gathered outside the police headquarters in Wan Chai district,with some holding up bras and others wearing them over their tops.A topless male activist wearin

ZIMBABWE GOVERNMENT,JUST BANNED SECOND-HAND CLOTHES & SHOES INTO THEIR COUNTRY.

                The Zimbabwean government has announced a ban on the importation of second hand clothes and shoes intended for resale.Though their government opposition parties have criticized the ban,saying it was negatively impart the livelihoods of thousands of unemployed locals who have relied on selling second hand clothes.Finance Minister Patrick Chinamasa says the ban comes amidst health concerns but is also aimed at protecting the local clothes manufacturing sector.Hmmm to me,the disadvantage about banning sensitive products like cloths is that,there will be a high rate of smuggling of clothes into Zimbabwe.
