 Zamfara Governor’s Wife Facilitates Marriage for 100 Orphans, Offers Support to Grooms The wife of the Zamfara State Governor, Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has overseen the marriage of 100 orphaned girls in the state. The brides, who were well cared for prior to the ceremony, received full attention for their beautification. Each bride’s dowry, amounting to 151,000 Naira, was covered by the Governor’s wife. In addition, Huriyya Dauda Lawal provided essential household items, including furniture such as cushions, beds, wardrobes, mattresses, and kitchen utensils. Furthermore, she offered financial assistance of N50,000 to each groom to help them start their businesses and achieve self-sufficiency. Hajiya Lawal encouraged the brides to respect their husbands and practice patience. She also assured them that the Zakkat and Endowment Board would be available to offer support should any marital issues arise.

                      Today friday Late Barrister James Ocholi,the former Minister of State for Labour and Employment was laid to rest.He was was laid to rest along side his wife,Blessing and son Josua in their family home in Abocho,Biraidu District,Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi.The three family members died in an auto crashh on March 6,on the Kaduna Abuja highway.Speaking at the funeral service,the Vice-President,Prof Yemi Osinbajo {SAN} described the three deceased family me,bers as ''saints called home by the creator''.He urged Nigerians to imbibe the scriptural injunction that in all circumstances,thanks should be given to God.Osinbajo said that late Ocholi,Blessing and Joshua played their parts in the vineyard of the Lord in diverse manners but all towards the common goal of advancing the kingdom of God.He stressed the need to be grateful to God for giving them the grace.He said that though some of the apostles died trag...

PRESIDENT MUGABE SAID TODAY THAT,ZIMBABWE VETERANS HAD INDICATED THEY WANTED HIM TO RETIRE.

                          Today friday,92 year old President Robert Mugabe said veterans of  Z imbabwe's independence war had indicated they wanted him to retire and he would consider it if they asked him directly.Mugbabe pointed out however that others had tried to push him out in the past and failed.He told supporters at a rally in Bindura,north of Harare,that leaders of the  Z imbabwe Liberation War Veterans Association { Z LWVA} were pushing for him to step down.Mugabe,himself a war veteran and patron of the  Z LWVA said the organisation would hold a ''frank'' meeting with him in the first week of April,where the veterans should freely express their views.Mugabe said in his native Shona language that ''They have this thinking that the president has overstayed and should go.So war veterans come to Harare....so that we can discuss this.No one should intimidate anyone.We will be saying,speak your mind.I wil...

                      Plans are set by the Lagos State Government to redevelop the bus terminus at the Tafawa Balewa Square {TBS}in Lagos Island.Unfolding the plan at a Stakeholder's meeting held at the Terminus,the Commissioner for Transportation,Dr Dayo Mobereola said the project is important to the development of Lagos as a tourism corridor.While nothing that the TBS is a rallying point for commuters and of significance in the the history of the State and Nation,the Commissioner disclosed that a world class bus terminus will confer more respect on the State and preserve the heritage of the site.He assured that the proposed bus terminus will provide protection as well as help the State in prosecuting its agenda for a 24 hour economy and movement of goods and services,stressing that the design will also ensure that all the present users and transport groups will be accommodated as well as assist commuters to easily identify the bus...

MTN NIGERIA,WITHDRAWS THEIR SUIT AGAINST FEDERAL GOVERNMENT,TODAY.
