PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.                                The Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Policy,Research and Statistic,Dt Kayode Olagunju disclosed this on saturday in Ado Ekiti.Olagunjunspoke at a nationwide national awareness campaign organised by the corps for frivers,vulcanisers as well as tyre dealers and other stakeholders.He stated that the accidents which were usually caused by either ''Tokunbo'' or ''second hand'' tyres,accounted for more than 10 per cent of road accidents in the country.Olagunju expressed regrets that most Nigerians still preferred to go for used tyres in spite huge campaign and mobilisation mounted against such practice by the corps.He warned that his men patrolling the highways would henceforth not take it easy with recalcitrant drivers and vehicle owners caught with expired tyres.Olagunju said that the same treatment would be meted out  to government drivers as well as those regarded as ''u...

                    The Lagos State Government has urged all the real estate practitioners operating in the state to register with the Lagos State Real Estate Transaction Department {LASRETRAD} in order to monitor and standardise the industry.Addressing members of the press on the activities of the Agency in her Office at Alausa recently,the Special Adviser to the Governor on Housing,Mrs Aramide Giwason implored all estate agents and property service providers who are yet to register to do so with LASRETRAD to enhance adequate monitoring and compliance with international best practice in real estate business in Lagos.According to her ''There have been series of complaints and sharp practice levelled against some estate agents,especially the unlicensed and quacks in this sub sector that often defrauds and swindles unsuspecting residents who patronise them for real estate transaction''.While noting that LASRETRAD was established by an Exec...

SOUTH KOREAN PRESIDENT,RECEIVED A 21 GUN SALUTE IN KENYA TODAY AS SHE PROCEEDS TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT.{PHOTOS}.

                   On the second day of her three days visit,South Korean President Park Geun-hye received a 21 gun salute and a military guard of honour.Park is in Kenya to improve trade between the two nations which currently favours South Korea.Kenya is the third leg of her African tour which started with Ethiopia and Uganda.The two presidents held talks today tuesday and were expected to sign agreements later in the day.According to South Korea's ambassador to Kenya Young Dae Kwon,Park is travelling with a delegation of more than 200 who include businessmen and government officials.Kwon said bilateral agreements in security,health,agriculture,information technology,trade and culture will be signed in the tour.More photos below.                                                            ...
