 OPERATION FANSAN YAMMA: TROOPS DESTROY TERRORIST HIDEOUTS AS OFFENSIVE OPERATIONS COMMENCE IN KATSINA STATE Troops of Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA (JTF NW OPFY) have commenced a deliberate offensive operation, code-named Operation CLEAN SWEEP III, targeting terrorist and bandit elements operating within Matazu Local Government Area and adjoining communities in Katsina State. The operation was launched following the unfortunate incident that led to the death of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, who was abducted alongside his wife by suspected terrorists and bandits in the area. The operation is aimed at locating and neutralizing the perpetrators of the heinous act, dismantling criminal networks and restoring security within the affected communities. A SUICIDE BOMBER IN MAIDUGURI,DETONATED A BOMB TODAY MORNING.

                  According to two security sources,a suicide bomber driving a three wheeled vehicle,detonated near the office of state security in Maiduguri today saturday.The security sourcessaid the blast went off a few meters from their office at about 7:am today.One of the security sources said one person was killed,as well as the bomber,while a hospital source said four people were being treated for injuries.May God help Nigeria.

1 PERSON DEAD,4 INJURED AFTER A BOMB EXPLODED TODAY AT THE ITALIAN CONSULATE IN CAIRO,EGYPT.

                   According to the Health Ministry and security sources who said a bomb exploded today infront of the Italian consulate in Cairo,killing one person.They said the blast was caused by a car bomb.Preliminary investigations indicated that a bomb was placed under a car near the consulate and remotely detonated.There was no immediate claim of these early morning blast,which cause heavy damage to the consulate building as seen above and below.The explosion shock other building downtown and could be heard in several surrounding neighborhoods.A part from the unknown person that was killed,four other civilians were wounded.Among the wounded were two policemen.Italian minister who sent out a media statement in their language but translated to English said that ''Bomb our consulate to#cairo.There were no Italian Victims close to the people affected and to the staff.Italy is not intimidated''.More photos below.       ...
