CABLE VANDALISM: SUSPECT CAUGHT IN ABIA COMMUNITY. (PHOTO).

Abia State Community Policing Vigilante has arrested an electric cable thief, simply identified as Samuel, while vandalizing power installations along Isi Court-Ikputu road in Isiala Ngwa area. While two out of the three thieves escaped with their operational tricycle, the leader of the syndicate identified as Samuel, from Ebonyi State was apprehended by the Community Policing Vigilante. The arrest of the suspect was made known by the Commander of Abia State Community Policing Vigilante in the area, K.C. Martins. Martins, who said that efforts have been intensified by his men to arrest the two fleeing members of the criminal gang, commended Governor Alex Otti’s administration’s determination protecting the lives and property of the people in the State.                       A Zimbabwe Cabinet minister said today monday that Zimbabwe will not charge American dentist Walter Palmer for killing its most prized lion in July because he had obtained legal authority to conduct the hunt.Environment Minister Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri said today monday that Palmer's hunting papers were in order,and therefore he could not be charged.''We approached the police and then the prosecutor general,and it turned out that Palmer came to Zimbabwe because all the papers were in order.Palmer would be free to visit Zimbabwe as a tourist in the future but not as a hunter.The implication was that Palmer would not be issued the permits a hunter needs''.The environment minister's comments immediately drew the ire of the animal conservation group Zimbabwe Conservation Task Force,which maintained that Palmer had committed a crime and said it planned to pursue legal action against him in the United States.Palmer,...

                    According to a Bayelsa Government House statement signed by Daniel I wariso-Markson,the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seriake Dickson,declared that to this effect,all flags in all public buildings and premises across the state be flown at half mast for the period.According to the statement,the 7 days mourning period and the flying of the flags at half mast takes effect from today monday,12 October,2015.Condolence registers have been opened in Government House,the state secretariat complex and Ijaw House,all in the state.This 7 days mourning was done to honour the late first civilian Governor of the state,Chief Diepreye Solomon Peter Alamieyeseigha,who passed away last saturday at the age of 63 at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital.One more photo below.                                           ...

                Mr Tajudeen Disu,the Managing Director of Lekki Worldwide Investment Company,was shot dead today by hoodlums during an official visit to one of the villages within Lekki Free Trade Zone in the early hours of today monday.Lagos state Governor has ordered the police to fish out the killers of Disu.Ambode said to pressmen in the government house that ''We are deeply touched by the loss of our dedicated  officer at the Lekki Free Trade Zone,Alhaji Tsjudeen Disu,who until his death the arrow head of the Free Trade Zone initiative.He was killed within the Lekki Free Trade Zone this morning.It really saddens my hearts and the hearts of all of us because this was somebody that has been dedicated to his duty in the past ten years.I want to appeal to all our people in Ibeju Lekki axis that they should give peace a chance.It is in the interest of all Lagosians that we attract as many investors to the state.That is what we have been doing...

GOVERNOR AMBODE,TASKS LOCAL GOVT ON REHABILITATION OF INNER ROADS IN LAGOS STATE TODAY.

                              Today monday,Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Ambode unveiled plans to commence the reconstruction of two roads in each of the 20 Local Governments and 37 Local Council Development Areas in the state,just as he charged the Executive Secretaries to judiciously ensure that the projects meet international standard.The Governor spoke at the Lagos House,Ikeja during the monthly meeting with the Executive Secretaries of the 57 councils to review the progress report in their various communities as well as their challenges.He said the decision to embark on the road rehabilitation was in line with the reforms at the local  government level,noting that the first phase will commence with the reconstruction of 114 roads,two per local government,at the cost of 19billion.The Governor who said the execution of the project will be left in the care of the local governments,however tasked the Execu...
