 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation. Opara commended MACBAN for its readiness to collaborate with the police in promoting peace and security in Taraba. He reassured that the police would continue to work diligently to protect lives and property and pledged to leave no stone unturned in maintaining peace and stability in the state.                     Petroleum Minister Alison Madueke in a statement today sunday said ''As you may be aware,there has been a lot of volatility in the oil market in the past few months and due to this,the importation prices of our petroleum products have been impacted.Therefore,with the approval and directive of Mr President and by virtue of section 6 clause 1 of the Nigerian Petroleum Act,it is my responsibility as Minister of Petroleum Resources to hereby announce a reduction in the pump price of petroleum motor spirit {petrol} from the current ninety seven naira {97} per litre pump price down to eighty seven {87} naira per litre pump price,effective from twelve {12} midnighr sunday 18th of January 2015''.We thank God ohhhhhh.One more photo below.                                                       ...
