 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali.                     Petroleum Minister Alison Madueke in a statement today sunday said ''As you may be aware,there has been a lot of volatility in the oil market in the past few months and due to this,the importation prices of our petroleum products have been impacted.Therefore,with the approval and directive of Mr President and by virtue of section 6 clause 1 of the Nigerian Petroleum Act,it is my responsibility as Minister of Petroleum Resources to hereby announce a reduction in the pump price of petroleum motor spirit {petrol} from the current ninety seven naira {97} per litre pump price down to eighty seven {87} naira per litre pump price,effective from twelve {12} midnighr sunday 18th of January 2015''.We thank God ohhhhhh.One more photo below.                                                       ...
