 PRESIDENT TINUBU EULOGIZES DR THOMPSON ABAYOMI OSHIN ON HIS CENTENNIAL BIRTHDAY President Bola Tinubu congratulates Dr Thompson Abayomi Oshin, a renowned healthcare professional, educator, and humanitarian, on his 100th birthday. Dr Oshin, widely regarded as the father of physiotherapy in Nigeria, is a pioneer of physiotherapy in Africa. He is the first head and consultant physiotherapist at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, and served as the first Secretary-General of the African Physiotherapy Organisation following his election in Cairo in 1980. A statement by Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga says the President also salutes Pa Oshin, who helped transform physiotherapy from a hospital-based technical service into a respected university-level profession, laying the foundation for modern physiotherapy education and practice in Nigeria. MANY PEOPLE DIED TODAY,AS A BOMB EXPLODED AT A BUS-STATION IN KANO CITY.

                     The explosion at the Kano line station occurred at about 3:40pm today tuesday and sources claimed that after the bomb exploded,many people were injured and covered in blood.Sources said that one of the bus that exploded was spattered with blood and human flesh.There was no immediate indication of casualties but there were fears of a heavy death toll,given that the bus station is normally packed with commuters and travellers but the police confirmed 12 people dead already.More details later.

A FEMALE MISSIONARY,KIDNAPPED TODAY IN KOGI STATE.

                According to sources and the church said that ''Early this morning {today tuesday}we received a report that Rev.Phyllis Sortor,our missionary in Nigeria,was abducted from the Hope Academy compound in Emiworo,Kogi state,Nigeria by several persons''.A United State Department official said authorities had heard the reports but could not make further comments in the interest of privacy.From my little investigations,the sister is from America and she is a christian missionary that was working in Nigeria and she was kidnapped overnight.Nobody or group has come out to claim they kidnapped the Rev sister.
