 Catholic priest reportedly klled in Kogi  A Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, has been reportedly killed by unknown assailants in Ajaokuta, Kogi State. According to reports, the priest was stabbed multiple times along Ajaokuta road on Wednesday, 29th July 2026. His body was found dumped at the roadside.  Rev. Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.  Until his death, he served as a priest at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.              According to a Chad soldier,who in a statement disclosed to the press that Chad soldiers killed 13 fighters from the islamic militant group Boko Haram in a battle in Nigerian town of Gambaru,today wednesday.Chad's army is in Gambaru as part of a regional offensive including Niger and Cameroon against Boko Haram,whose militants have staged cross border raids in addition to attack inside Nigeria as part of a campaign to establish a caliphate.Much of the recent fighting has taken place near Lake Chad,which borders Nigeria,Chad,Cameroon and Niger,and in northern Cameroon itself.The military source said ''We knew they were going to attack us.We were waiting.The battle didn't last long.They fled''.The army said 11 Chadian soldiers were wounded,three out of 14 Boko Haram vehicles were destroyed and one was seized.Boko Haram attacked the town of N'Guigmi on Niger's border with Nigeria late on yesterday tuesday with mortars and machine guns,but the...
