Abia State Community Policing Vigilante has arrested an electric cable thief, simply identified as Samuel, while vandalizing power installations along Isi Court-Ikputu road in Isiala Ngwa area. While two out of the three thieves escaped with their operational tricycle, the leader of the syndicate identified as Samuel, from Ebonyi State was apprehended by the Community Policing Vigilante. The arrest of the suspect was made known by the Commander of Abia State Community Policing Vigilante in the area, K.C. Martins. Martins, who said that efforts have been intensified by his men to arrest the two fleeing members of the criminal gang, commended Governor Alex Otti’s administration’s determination protecting the lives and property of the people in the State. A 13-year-old pupil gave birth to a baby boy during a Mathematics examination in the ongoing Primary Leaving Examinations in Mpigi District, Uganda.   The incident happened at St Balikuddembe Primary School, Jalamba Ward in Buwama Town Council, Mpigi District on Wednesday morning, March 31.    According to Mr Godfrey Ssema, the head teacher of the school, the girl developed labour pains during a Mathematics examination.   "After 20 minutes, she alerted the invigilator who called colleagues and rushed the girl to a nearby medical centre," Mr Ssemanda said.   Ms Goreth Mirembe, the nurse at the clinic said that after helping the girl to deliver, she was taken back to the school to complete her paper in an isolated environment.   Authorities in the United Kingdom have slammed a £125,000 fine on Loveworld TV channel, owned by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, for airing conspiracy theories about Covid-19 that were unproven. On December 1st 2020, the TV channel had aired a 29-hour programme called the Global Day of Prayer, during which several unfounded claims were made about the coronavirus pandemic. These claims included the notion that the outbreak was ‘planned’, that the ‘sinister’ vaccine can be used to implant ‘nanochips’ that can control and cause harm to members of the public and the theory that the virus was somehow caused by 5G. Following a detailed investigation by Ofcom, the communications regulatory body in the United Kingdom, it was concluded that the programme breached broadcasting rules by sharing ‘potentially harmful’ claims about COVID19. Eight people have been killed, and four injured by armed bandits in separate attacks dotted across Chikun, Giwa and Kajuru local government areas. These were outlined in reports made by security agencies to the Kaduna State Government.
