PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs. EFCC ARRAIGNED 2 INCLUDING A LAWYER,FOR N64 MILLION LAND SCAM.

                      The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has arraigned the duo of Essien Ekanem,a Kaduna Lawyer and Murtala Shariff,before Justice Tukur Muazu of Kaduna State High Court on a 9 count charge bordering on conspiracy,Criminal Breach of Trust and Obtaining Money under false pretence.Then yesterday monday 29 of February,the EFCC secured the conviction of one Mfon Obot Essien {alias David Morris,Femi James} at the Lagos State High Court,Igbosere.Justice R.A Adebiyi convicted Essein on all the the six count charge preferred against him by the EFCC and sentenced him accordingly.One more photo below.                                                                                    

ESE ORURU,WILL BE HANDED OVER TO HER PARENTS TOMORROW,NOT TODAY AS PLANNED.

                                     According to sources,after several hours of waiting,journalists were told around 7: 1 8 that the handling of Ese Oruru to her parents will be done tomorrow wednesday.Addressing newsmen,the Force Spokesperson,Olabisi Kolawale said ''The parents are just approaching Abaaji and we cannot keep waiting for them.We will call you people tomorrow when we want to reunite the girl with her parents''.Thank God for this new development.More photos below.                                         

SOUTH AFRICA,RECENTLY LAUNCHED THE 1ST SOLAR POWERED AIRPORT IN AFRICA.

                        George Airport in South Africa becomes the first solar powered airport in Africa.First phase of the solar plant worth  1  million dollar has just been launched providing 40 percent of the airport's energy.Once completed the plant will deliver a 750kw power support the airport.South Africa's Environmental Affairs Minister,Edna Molewa said ''The new solar-powered airport will rely on cost effective,renewable sources to generate energy,and simultaneously support South Africa's greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets''.More photos below.                                                                   

REBELS DRAGGED TO THE ICC COURT,FOR THE DESTRUCTION OF TIMBUKTU SHRINES IN 2012.

                       Al-Mahdi,an ethnic Tuareg who prosecutors say belong to the Ansar Dine militant grouo,an ally of Al Qeada in the Islamic Maghreb is the first person to be charged with destroying cultural artifacts by the court.He destroyed the irreparable damage to Africa's cultural heritage by destroying religious sites in the ancient city of Timbuktu during the 20 1 2 conflict in Mali.Ahmad al-faqi al-Mahdi,a former trainee teacher,had led and personally taken part in the attacks on nine mausoleums amd mosques in the city with pick-axes and crowbars,said Prosecutors at the International Criminal Court {ICC}.At the hearing,prosecutors must convince judges,led Kenya's Joyce Aluoch,that they have marshaled sufficient evidence to justify a full trial.The ICC has been examining events in Mali since 20 1 2,when Tuareg rebels seized part of the north,imposing a strict interpretation of Islamic law.French and Malian troops pus...

Mrs Abimbola Jijoho-Ogun,a former acting General Manager of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority {LAWMA},has been appointed as the new General Manager of the Lagos State Parkss and Gardens Agency {LASPARK}.She replaces Dr.Mrs Titi Anibaba,who has been in the saddle for over three years.Jijoho-Ogun was born on the  1 0th of October, 1 957 in Badagry Local Government Area.She attended Holy Child Secondary Secondary School,Ikoyi,from  1 972- 1 977 and Federal Government College Akoka,Lagos where she obtained her Higher School Certificate {A-level} in  1 979.She was admitted into the University of Lagos to study Biological Science and graduated in  1 982 with a 2nd Class Honours {Upper Division}.She proceeded to the University of Ibadan in  1 984 for her Master's programme in zoology and also obtained another Master's degree in Public Health at the Lagos State University,Ojo in 2007.The New General Manager joined the Lagos State Civil Service as a Scientific O...
