PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs. 14 MOTORCYCLIST ATTACKED LAGOS TASK FORCE AT OSHODI.#PRESS RELEASE.

       Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Unit (Taskforce) were attacked by 14 commercial motorcyclists operating on restricted routes during an enforcement exercise in Oshodi recently. CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, Chairman of the Agency disclosed that the motorcyclists, supported by hoodlums during the attack, wounded a paramilitary officer attached to the Agency and damaged operational ve hicles. He added that immediately after they attacked the operatives of the Agency, the motorcyclists and others involved ran into a compound at Igbehinadun Street, Oshodi to take refuge, adding that the enforcement team chased them to the compound to arrest them and other miscreants smoking Indian hemp in the building. According to him, "many suspects among the commercial motorcyclists plying restricted routes and miscreants, who damaged the Agency's operational vehicles and inflicted wounds on the paramilitary officer were eventually arrested". ...

       In a continuous bid to curb the menace of piracy as well as reduce the sale of pornographic and unclassified movies in the State, the Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board recently clamped down on sellers of pirated and unclassified films in some parts of Lagos. Speaking on the raid, the Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board, Mr. Bamidele Balogun, said the raid was part of the continuo us effort to rid the State of the sale of pirated and unclassified movies as well as violators of film production regulation. According to him, “The sale of pirated DVDs has become a thriving and lucrative business in major parts of the State. The reality is that some people invested in producing films but in most cases, they don’t break even as a result of intellectual property theft. MAN BANISHED FOR IMPREGNATING DAUGHTER TWICE IN ANAMBRA.{PHOTOS}.

     Residents of Okofia, Otolo Nnewi in Anambra state have banished a man in his 60s for reportedly impregnating his daughter twice. In photos shared on Facebook, the elderly man who is allegedly from Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area had palm fronds tied on his neck. His daughter who was carrying a baby also had palm fronds tied on her leg to show that they engaged in abominable acts. The father and daughter were then led to a waiting bus where all their property were packed in by the community members. Facebook user, Okoro Abraham who shared the photos wrote... "Happening now at Okofia Otolo Nnewi, the location of the unizik college of health.      The EFCC, Makurdi zonal office, on Tuseday, December 10, 2019, secured the conviction of one Moses Abah Ijiga before Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon of the Federal High Court, sitting in Makurdi, Benue State. Pastor Moses, who bagged one year imprisonment, was arraigned on amended one-count charge bordering on fraudulent impersonation.

      The Ilorin Zonal Office of the EFCC has arrested three persons including a Vice Principal for allegedly collecting money from Students participating in the ongoing National Examination Council (NECO) at Government Day Secondary School, Ote in Eiye-Nkorin Area of Kwara State. The Suspects are: the Vice Principal of the School, Iss a Abdulrahman; a Teacher, Usman Lanre Kayode and a Supervisor of the Examination in the Centre, Saka Isiaka. The Commission had received an intelligence report that the school management and supervisors of the centre were extorting monies from the Students writing NECO in order to assist them in the Examination.
