 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation. Opara commended MACBAN for its readiness to collaborate with the police in promoting peace and security in Taraba. He reassured that the police would continue to work diligently to protect lives and property and pledged to leave no stone unturned in maintaining peace and stability in the state. BRIEF HISTORY OF A 1745 JAMAICAN SLAVE.

                   The painting above was painted by Sir Joshua Reynolds in 1770.The picture belongs to Francis Barber,who was a servant and was born enslaved in Jamaica around 1745,and he was brought to England  by his slave master Colonel Richard Bathurst.When Bathust died in 1754,Francis Barber was given his freedom and left a sum of 12 pounds.In 1750,Francis Barber joined another household which belongs to Dr Johnson.Dr Johnson would not allow Francis Barber to perform demeaning task like buckling his shoes and Dr Johnson in all things treated Francis Barber as an equal.Most people in these present day have house helps,how many people treat them like the way they treat their children {equals}.

              58 year old Colin Jaffrey a British man who died of Ebola virus in Macedonia was shaking and confused in the hours before his death but refused to see a doctor.His friend 72 year old Michael English from Bedfordshire,who is still in quaratine in their Hotel in Macedonia further said ''For two days he was saying he didn't feel good.He had fever but refused to go to the doctor.That morning he said he felt better.We agreed to meet down stairs at the hotel at noon.He called and said he didn't feel good,his hands were shaking.He was confused.The Hotel staff then called for an ambulance.He stayed in his hotel room for three days with severe stomach ache but was rushed to the hospital yesterday afternoon but died within 90 minutes''.Meanwhile staffs of the hotel as well guests were locked in {quarantined} and the hotel is shutdown,to avoid further spread of Ebola.More photos below.                   ...

HOLLYWOOD ACTRESS ANGELINA JOLIE,AWARDED ''DAME'' BY THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND.

                 Today friday,39 year old Angelina Jolie was made an Honorary Dame during a private audience with the Queen of England,in recognition of her campaign against sexual violence.She was presented with the Insignia of an Honorary Dame Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George at a reception at Buckingham palace.Angelina was accompanied to the palaceby her husband Brad Pitt and their children.More photos below.                                                                                                                  

CAMEROUN DENIES KNOWLEDGE OF THE RELEASE OF HOSTAGES BY BOKO HARAM.

               According to Cameroon communication minister,Issa Bakery,he said today friday that he was surprised by the news that some hostages kidnapped by Boko Haram militants in Northern Cameroun were released as reported by a news website.''You are the first to give me that information''.According to the report on the alledged release,Boko Haram militants have released the wife of Cameroun Deputy Prime Minister,Amadou Ali,10 Chinese workers and district heads who were kidnapped in different attacks.The Chinese workers were found missing and believed to e taken by Boko Haram on May 16 and the wife of Amadou Ali was also believed to be kidnapped on July 27.

SOUTH AFRICA SIGNS NUCLEAR AGREEMENT WITH FRANCE.

                  According to sources,South Africa has signed a nuclear power agreement with France government today friday,three weeks after it reached a similar deal with Russia as part of Pretoria's first tentative steps towards building up to 9,600 MW of nuclear power.In a statement from President Jacob Zuma's office today friday described the deal with France as cooperation in the development of peaceful uses of nuclear energy,but he did not provide details.More photos below.
