 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents. A WOMAN DONATED HER MONTHLY PENSION SALARY,TO BUHARI'S GOVT,TO FIGHT CORRUPTION TODAY.

               A pensioner,Mrs Rose Arabameh Julius,has donated her monthly pension of ten thousand naira to support the Byhari administration's war against corruption.Mrs Julius who retired as a cleaner from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital,also promised to contribute N 1 ,000 every month out of her pension towards the rehabilitation of Internally Displaced Persons.She said that she was making the donation because she was convinced that Oresident Muhammadu Buhari is a tested man of integrity who can be trusted to restore the lost glory of Nigeria and drastically curb corruption in the country.According to a statement signed by Abiodun Oladunjoye on behalf of the Special Adviser to the President Media & Publicity,Femi Adesina,the pensioner also commended the President's efforts to end the Boko Haram insurgency and rehabilitate internally displaced persons.Receiving the donation on behalf of President Buhari,the Special Adviser to the President {Media & Publicity},

                 The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC is set to arraign two Senior Advocates of Nigeria {SAN},identified as Rickey Tarfa and Dr. Joseph Nwobike,at the Lagos State High Court.In two seperate charges filed by the anti graft agency,the learned silk are accused of offering gratification running into millions of naira to judges in bizarre ploy to influence decisions in their favour.Then on the 4th of March the EFCC has arrested one Tonwerigha Oyinttonbra Tombrown for allegedly duping an Irish businesswoman,Isabela Glogowska to the tune of 53,000 Euros {N 1 1 .6 million} an internet scam.More photos below.                                                                          

NIGERIA EX-CHIEF OF DEFENSE STAFF ''BADEH'',PLEADED NOT GUILTY TODAY TO FRAUD & OTHER CHARGES IN COURT.

                         Today monday Nigeria's former chief of defense staff,pleaded not guilty to charge of fraud,criminal breach of trust and money laundering involving around 3 billion naira{$ 1 5. 1  million}.Air Marshall Alex Badeh,who appeared at the Federal High Court in Abuja,denied allegations that he used money allocated for Nigeria's air force to buy a mansion and a commercial plot of land,and build a shopping mall.The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said Badeh and a company in 20 1 3,''did use dollar equivalent of the sum of  1 . 1  billion naira removed from the accounts of the Nigerian Air Force to purchase for yourself a mansion'',in Abuja's upmarket Maitama district.Among the other nine charges,all of which were denied by Badeh,were allegations that he and the company used the dollar equivalent of 650 million nara from air force funds to buy ''a commercial plot of land,with a further  1 .2 billion naira used for the construc

LASPEMA,IS SET TO SANITIZE THE CAR WASH BUSINESS IN LAGOS STATE.

                The Lagos State Planning and Environmental Monitoring Authority {LASPEMA} has reiterated its resolved to sanitize the car wash business in the state,pledging that all necessary measures will be taken to ensue that such business ventures comply with planning regulations and environmental laws.Engineer Olarenwaju Kazeem,the Acting Generak Manager of the Agency,who disclosed this recently while receiving the report of an assessment team at his office in Alausa,Ikeja,enjoined all individuals involved in the car wash business to abide by the state' environmental rules and regulations in order not to run foul of the law.He disclosed that a team of senior field officers from the Agency had embarked on the monitoring of the activities of car wash operators within the metropolis to assess the import of their operations on the environment particularly as it affects government's resolve to deliver on well planned and healthy environment for all residents.Earlier,Mrs Taiwo

                The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to share these new photographs of their family,enjoying a skiing holiday with Prince George and Princess Charlotte in the French Alps.The Duke and Duchess invited the Press Association's Royal Photographer John Stillwell to take the photographs earlier in the week.This was their first holiday as a family of four and the first time either of the children have played in the snow.It was very special and a fun short holiday for the family and they are grateful that John Stillwell was able to capture the moment so well.They look so lovely,God bless their family and more photos below.
