 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents.  The 2022 Met Gala, otherwise known as the First Monday in May, is back once again! After being canceled in 2020 and held in September last year, the glitzy event returns to its usual time slot this year. Held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, A-list celebrities will descend upon the red carpet in celebration of the museum’s new exhibition, “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” which will serve as an exploration of American fashion. The display will be presented across 13 of the American period rooms in the museum, and feature design works from Bill Blass, Brooks Brothers, Lloyd Kiva New, and more.Not to bore you view the fashion photos below.  Please always check for updates.  Alicia Keys

Call it the Party of the Year, call it the Oscars of the East Coast, call it fashion’s biggest night. Any way you slice it, the Met Gala is an evening to remember, and we’re here to help you do that with our Met Gala red carpet live blog. Tonight’s event is the coming out ball for “In America: An Anthology of Fashion.” Part two of curator Andrew Bolton’s in-depth look at American style, the exhibition explores the work of famous names in fashion (Halston, Oscar de la Renta, Bill Blass, etc.) and those that have been overlooked (like Ann Lowe, the African American maker of Jacqueline Kennedy’s wedding gown), with approximately 100 garments presented across 13 of the Met’s American period rooms, each of which has been styled by renowned film directors, from Martin Scorsese to Julia Dash, Sofia Coppola to Chloe Zhao. Akwa Ibom Stadium To Host 2022 CAF Champions League Final The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo will host the 2022 CAF Champions League final scheduled for Sunday, May 29. CAF officials had visited the Akwa Ibom stadium over four weeks ago to inspect the state of the sporting facilities according to the Senior Special Assistant on Sports to Akwa Ibom State Governor, Paul Bassey. Aside the stadium, the delegation also inspected the Victor Attah International Airport, Ibom Icon Hotel and Golf Resort and Ibom Specialist Hospital among others in line with CAF standard for host city. Al Ahly of Egypt that who have won a record 10 Champions League titles will face ES Setif of Algeria in the semi-final. The Egyptian giant will be hoping to reach their 3rd consecutive finals, having won the last two finals.
