 Zamfara Governor’s Wife Facilitates Marriage for 100 Orphans, Offers Support to Grooms The wife of the Zamfara State Governor, Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has overseen the marriage of 100 orphaned girls in the state. The brides, who were well cared for prior to the ceremony, received full attention for their beautification. Each bride’s dowry, amounting to 151,000 Naira, was covered by the Governor’s wife. In addition, Huriyya Dauda Lawal provided essential household items, including furniture such as cushions, beds, wardrobes, mattresses, and kitchen utensils. Furthermore, she offered financial assistance of N50,000 to each groom to help them start their businesses and achieve self-sufficiency. Hajiya Lawal encouraged the brides to respect their husbands and practice patience. She also assured them that the Zakkat and Endowment Board would be available to offer support should any marital issues arise.

NEW NAIRA NOTE: Man Who Slumped And Died Inside Bank In Delta Identified As A Building Material Merchant The man who slumped and died inside a bank in Agbor, Ika Local Government Area of Delta State, has been identified as Mr Vincent Igweh, a building material merchant. Sources revealed that late Igweh went to the Bank in Agbor for some transactions, but unfortunately, after spending hours unattended to due to the crowd, collapsed. Even though there are improvements that can be made, I urge Nigerians to bear with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Federal Government with the hope that the general populace and Nigeria will harvest the gains that will come with the reforms. We equally implore the CBN and the banks to expedite efforts to make the new currency available to small depositors and the unbanked in order to reduce the pains of my fellow Nigerians, especially the underprivileged and those living far away from banks in the rural areas.  #PeterObi 🇳🇬". ACTOR CHARLES KIMBROUGH HAS PASSED AWAY AT THE AGE OF 86.(PHOTO).

“MURPHY BROWN’S”  CHARLES KIMBROUGH HAS PASSED AWAY AT 86. He died a month ago but the news just broke on the internet. He played anchor “Jim Dial” in every episode of the show’s 10 seasons and appeared in a few episodes of the re-boot as well.  His son confirmed to “The New York Times” that his father passed away January 11th in Culver City.  Kimbrough received an Emmy nomination for his role on the show. Years earlier, he received a Tony nomination as part of the original cast of the musical, “Company.” He also worked as a voice actor, most famously playing the gargoyle, Victor, in Disney’s animated “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.” I was lucky enough to interview him back in his “Murphy Brown” days.  I remember him being a very nice man.  May he R.I.P.   🙏

The appointment is sequel to the recommendation of the National Judiciary Commission at its 100th meeting held on January 18, 2023 and in accordance with the provision of Section 271 Sub-section (2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended). 3 feared dead, many missing in Ikwerre building collapse 5th February, 2023 Three people are presumed dead and others are missing after a building under construction caved in along Isi Ewu Road in Nbodo Community, Ikwerre Local Government Area, Rivers State. Olufemi Ayodele, Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC, Rivers State Command, confirmed the incident on Sunday morning. Michael Ogar, the NSCDC state commandant, who visited the scene, the cause of the incident was the use of substandard materials. GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA MOVES TO PARTNER WITH INTERNATIONAL MANUFACTURERS FOR SANITY IN THE PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has tendered a proposal for partnership with international manufacturers in the pharmaceutical industry for the restoration of sanity in the sector within Imo State. The Governor, who made the call during an interactive session with a team of medical practitioners from Austria who have been on a free medical mission in the State for days now, explained that the partnership is to curb the proliferation of illicit and substandard drugs in the State. The leader of the team, Rev. Fr. Dr Emeka Emeakaraoha, assured the Governor of a review to his appeal for the exercise to be carried out twice a year, in view of spreading the mission across the State. INEC Mock Accreditation Records Success In Anambra State. Success stories have trailed the mock accreditation exercise conducted across Anambra state by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, ahead of the February 25 and March 11 general elections. The Anambra State Resident Electrical Commissioner, Dr Queen Elizabeth Agwu led the inspection of the exercise in selected six Local Government Areas of the state. The mock accreditation conducted with BVAS machines took place in Anambra East, Onitsha South, Awka South, , Idemili North, Nnewi North and Orumba North Local Government Areas. At Igboezunu Aguleri, Okene ward one, the mock accreditation started at around past nine 0'clock in the morning where fourteen persons were accredited at about eleven 0'clock in the morning.
