 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A CAR BOMB EXPLOSION IN TURKEY TODAY,KILLED 4 POLICEMEN & INJURED MANY CIVILIANS.

                    According to sources,a car bomb attack killed four Turkish police officers and wounded 20 other people in the southeastern city of Dyarbakiir today thursday.The attack targeted a minibus carrying members of the police special forces,a security source said,adding that civilians were also among the wounded.The explosion hit the vehicle as it passed near a bus station in Diyarbakir.There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.A PKK ofshoot has claimed two car bomb attacks this year in the capital Ankara.One more photo below.

                      Today thursday,Imo State Governor,Rochas Okorocha swore in the new Secretary to the State Government Sir George Eche,who replaced Sir Jude Ejiogu,who was sacked under controversial circumstances by the Governor.Eche a career Civil Servant and former Accountant General of the State until hois appointment was the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works.Speaking during the ceremony at the Sam Mbakwe Exco Chamber,Governor Okorocha disclosed that Eche'd appointment as SSG was to bridge a gap in appointments in the State,noting that in the state,Ngor Okpala,where the new he comes from,is among the most marginalized Local Government Areas in the state.He urged Eche to unite his people and the entire state.The Governor expressed optimism that the new SSG  will live up to expectation,stressing that his predecessor was not sacked as a result of dishonour,while reminding him also that ''every political appointment must end one day''.In his response,E

AMBODE ORDERS THE IMMEDIATE REPAIR OF LAGOS BADAGRY EXPRESSWAY TODAY.

                     Governor Ambode who recently launched ''Office Overseas Affairs and Investment'' {Lagos Global},had just ordered the State Public Works Corporation {LSPWC} to immediately embark on extensive repair on the ever busy Lagos Badagry Expressway so as to improve driving experience of motorists in the area.Special Adviser to the Governor/C.E.O,Public Works,Engr Ayotunde Sodeinde,told journalists today thursday that the Corporation has already mobilised its workers to commence work immediately on several sections of the road.''Immediately His Excellency,Governor Ambode gave us the directive,we have moved into the area to commence extensive work on the roads.We have been here since tuesday and work has commenced in earnest''.He said the repair works will include covering all potholes on the road while the drainage system will also be given a face-lift.Sodeinde listed the roads earmarked for repairs to include Iyana Ishasi-Ribamu Bus stop {bot

                      According to sources,at 14 people are dead,many people are feared trapped under the concrete and steel bridge which fell on a busy road today in India.Images show residents using their bare hands to help the rescue effort.The accident took place in an area near Girish Park,one of Kolkata's most densely populated neighbourhoods,with narrow lanes,shops and houses built close together.The 1.2 mile floyover has been under construction since 2009 and missed several deadlines for completion.At least 70 injured have been taken to the hospital and the army and national disaster agency in India have joined the rescue operation,which has been hampered by difficulties in getting ambulance and other vehicles close to the site.Some eye witnesses said every night,hundreds of labourers would build the flyover and they would cook and sleep near the site by day.India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi,who is in Washington for an official visit,tweeted that he was ''Sho
