 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali.                       According to Spain Minister of interior Jorge Fernandez Diaz said ''Four men of Spanish nationality and Moroccan origin,have a very similar profile to those who carried out the attacks in paris.They are two pairs of brothers,highly radicalized and highly trained''Videos released by the police showed around a dozen heavily armed officers shining search lights into windows before storming two houses in the narrow streets of Ceuta before dawn today saturday.Police found a gun,combat Uniforms,Spanish car license plates and machetes when they made the arrests.

                    We thank God Almighty for musician Olamide,who responded atlast on his instagram,to put the rumours to rest about his kidnap.Only God knows if it is the real Olamide that responded by saying ''Real recognise....Don't knock another niggas hustle lol street na street and we be 1.Awo'n shayo lowo lowo bayi,eshey koleba daru association of Nigeria una well done''The reports last week was that musician Olamide was kidnapped by armed gunmen,and taken to an unknown destination.More photos below.
