 Abiodun Eulogises Otegbola as Former Senator is Laid to Rest Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Thursday, described Senator Ayodeji Otegbola as a distinguished politician and a patriotic Nigerian who dedicated his life to public service and the development of Ogun State and the nation. Abiodun made the remarks at the funeral service of the late Senator Otegbola, held at the African Church St. Paul's Cathedral, Lagos East Diocese, Ilupeju, Lagos State. He said that the deceased made impactful contributions to the development of the country as a Senator and as a former chairman of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA). He stated: "He was a man of impeccable character, a distinguished politician, and a patriotic Nigerian who dedicated his life to public service and the development of our dear state and nation at large. 500 BUILDING DESTROYED BY THE POLICE.

           This morning at Polome community,Mowo Phase II Badagry,Lagos state,on the orders of the Inspector General of police,Mohammed Abubakar.Over 200 armed policemen and seven bulldozers took part in the operation which was aimed at reclaiming the land,said to belong to the police from trespassers.The operation was led by ACP Osu Ekpo.The affected owners of the land admitted that the land was sold to them by land speculators some years ago,adding that they did not have C of O over the land but laid speculators started encroaching on the land when the authorities failed to do something on it.When the police discovered the encroachment,they issued a quit notice to the owners of the houses  to vacate the land in 2011.The last notice was served to them two weeks ago.Some occupants of the houses were caught unawares as they did not expect the police to strike.Many of them could not retrieve their properties while a few others were able to salvage a few ...

              Young patience from the children's National Medical Center,joined the family and some of the children made silly faces during photos at the camera.The Obama family was in high holiday spirits at a Washington charity event Sunday as some little christmas elves entertained them with mischievous antics.It was a high point among many at the star-studded annual event,which was hosted this year by Hugh Jackman and featured performance by Sheryl Crow,Janelle Monae and the Backstreet Boys and others.Before the concert began,Obama,his wife Michell,and daughters,Sasha and Malia,helped collect presents for patients at children's National Medical Center in Washinton.Mrs Obama's mother,Marian Robinson,watched from nearby.More photos below.                                                             ...
