 PRESIDENT TINUBU EULOGIZES DR THOMPSON ABAYOMI OSHIN ON HIS CENTENNIAL BIRTHDAY President Bola Tinubu congratulates Dr Thompson Abayomi Oshin, a renowned healthcare professional, educator, and humanitarian, on his 100th birthday. Dr Oshin, widely regarded as the father of physiotherapy in Nigeria, is a pioneer of physiotherapy in Africa. He is the first head and consultant physiotherapist at the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, and served as the first Secretary-General of the African Physiotherapy Organisation following his election in Cairo in 1980. A statement by Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga says the President also salutes Pa Oshin, who helped transform physiotherapy from a hospital-based technical service into a respected university-level profession, laying the foundation for modern physiotherapy education and practice in Nigeria.        According to a source who is also his relative identified as Lucky Chijioke Tendency who broke the news on facebook yesterday,he captioned all the photos '' THE GBULIE FAMILY AND THE ENTIRE NIMO TOWN LOST THIS GIFTED NOLLYWOOD VETERAN TODAY... It is a great loss today for my family as we lost a gifted son and an icon of Nollywood Ifeanyi Gbulie this morning at Enugu. He was one of the pioneers of Nollywood having been acting from his hey days at NTA Channel 8 , Enugu in the 1970s and 1980s. He was popularly called "Danda". Please remember him in your prayers.
