 Saraki Slams Okowa’s Defection to APC, Urges PDP to Rebuild as Strong Opposition Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has expressed shock and disappointment over the defection of Ifeanyi Okowa, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) 2023 vice-presidential candidate and former Delta State governor, to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Okowa, alongside current Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme, and other top state officials, switched allegiance to the APC on Monday, a move Saraki described as “unbecoming and unprecedented.” In a statement, Saraki, a former Kwara State governor, criticized Okowa’s defection, arguing that it reflects a “collapse of leadership values” and should not be justified by claims of external pressure. “It is simply a sign of how low we have sunk as a polity,” he said, emphasizing the need to strengthen institutions over individuals.                  The Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Education has debunked reports trending on the social media in respect of a purported directive issued to Schools in Lagoss State to conduct Assembly in the Yoruba language on thursdays.A press release issued by the Ministry stted that ''the reports trending on social media that the government has directed that teaching and learning of Yoruba are now compulsory from Primary to Senior Secondary Schools {SS.III} as from next session is false and unfounded''.The statement said the clarification became necessary following stories on the social media which have been generating reactions and are capable of misleading the pupils,students,education stakeholders and the general public.The Education Ministry reassured the public that Lagos State Government does not implement policies without far-reaching consultations and communication with relevant stakeholders and therefore enjoined ...

            Troops of the Nigerian Army deployed in various parts of the northeast under the auspices of Operation LAFIYA DOLE and the Multinational Joint Task Force in conjunction with sister Services and other Security Agencies have continued the fight against terrorism relentlessly.They have been doing so through patrols,clearance operations,patrols and maintaining blocking positions.They have also been contributing their bits in humanitarian activities to enhance civil-military relations with their respective host communities.                                                       The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC,yesterday June 29th,2017 arraigned one Adenike Aki nola and her company Maybond Nigeria Limited before Honourable Justice Bello Duwale of the Sokoto State High Court on a three count charge bordering on Conspiracy,Obtaining by False Pretense and Issuance of dud cheque.The Accused person allegedly obtained the sum of N1,900,000 from the complainant under the pretext that she would supply him with Thailand Parboiled Rice but dishonestly converted the money and in the process of trying to pay him back,she issued him with a cheque of the equivalent sum which subsequently bounced on presentation.Justice Bello subsequently granted the accused bail in the sum of N1,500,000 {One Million,Five Hundred Thousand Naira Only} and remanded her in EFCC custody pending...

                The girls,who escaped from Boko Haram in 2014,after the famous Chibok abduction,met the president in the company of his daughter,Ivanka Trump.Joy Bishara and Lydia Pogu,who escaped from Boko Haram in 2014,recently graduated from Canyonville Christian Academy in Oregon in February 2017.The girls,who were being sponsored by the Jubilee Campaign,a human rights group in Virginia,have gone on to open a Gofundme account to raise money for their university education at Southeastern University in Florida.They are both looking good but am very concern about the shoes they wore especially the one wearing blue and white,that her shoe is indirectly caging her feet and it would have looked good on a shorter gown and for Christ what happened to all the elegant shoes in the market?.One more photo below.
