PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs. PRESIDENT HAGE GEINGOB OF NAMIBIA,PLEDGES 20% OF HIS SALARY TO THE POOR.

                       The President of Namibia Hage Geingob,made the pledge on saturday when he addressed the ruling Swapo Party rally in Windhoek where he officially launched the party's campaign for next month's regional and local authorities elections.President Hage Geingob was heard saying to his supporters who gathered at the Katutura Multi-purpose centre that ''I am ready to set aside 20 percent of my salary in order to set up a scolarship fund for impoverished children''.President Hage Geingob earns about 2 million Namibian dollars {about 76,000 U.S dollars} per year and this means he will give away about 400,000 Namibian dollars {30,580 U.S dollars}.From research,it was discovered that the Namibian government has made poverty eradication a special focus,so they created a whole ministry for it ''Poverty Eradication and Social Welfare''.One more photo below.                   ...

SAUDI ARABIAN AUTHORITIES,ARRESTED 2 OYO PILGRIMS FOR CARRYING ILLEGAL DRUGS.

                       It was reported today that two of the 1,191 pilgrims from Oyo state who performed this year's Hajj were detained by the Saudi Arabian authorities for a drug related offence.Alhaji Adeleke Abdulkareem,the Secretary Oyo State Prilgrims Welfare Board,disclosed this in an interview with pressmen today in Ibadan today monday.He said the affected pilgrims were females,adding that one of them escaped while the other was still in detention.He said that the drug found with the pilgrims was Tramador,a contraband in Saudi Arabia,which the pilgrims had been warned against.Two other pilgrims from the state died due to ill health before Arafat Day.He further said that pilgrims to always comply with the rules and regulations of the Saudi authorities to avoid being arrested or tarnishing the country's image.He also confirmed that the last batch of pilgrims from the state arrived Nigeria on October 11,2015.
