 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents. GAMBIA'S PRESIDENT,RESHUFFLES HIS CABINET AFTER COUP ATTEMPT.

               Yesterday monday,Gambia's president Yahya Jammeh,made some changes in his cabinet after a coup attempt.He reshuffled three major positions in his government.He reshuffled the ministry of foreign affairs,the ministry of information and the ministry of transport.He replaced every of the above mentioned ministry their ministers,and replaced them with fresh and ex serving ministers from other ministries.Prosecutors in the United States yesterday monday,charged a Texas business man with bankrolling and trying to lead the coup with the support of a former U.S Army Sergent.President Jammeh who came to power in a 1994 coup,has accused foreign based dissidents of being behind the coup bid.Though Jemmeh was out of the country when gunmen attacked the capital Banjul,late 2014 December.One more photo below.                                                                                                                                                                       

GOVERNOR FASHOLA,REDUCES THE COST OF LAND TRANSACTIONS IN LAGOS STATE.

              Yesterday monday,Lagos state Governor Raji Fashola,passed into law an executive bill,reducing the cost of land transactions in Lagos state.EXECUTIVE ORDER EO/BRF/001 OR 2015,states that ''Unless otherwise indicated,the valuation of landed property for the determination of tax and other charges payable shall be by reference to the statement of fair market value,produced by relevant professionals,adopted by the state Government and published from time to time in the official government Gazette''.The order which takes immediate effect,reduces consent fee from 6% to 1.5%,while capital Gain tax,which was previously 2% is now 0.5%,while Registration fees has been reduced from 3 percent to 0.5%.Well i believe this new bill will make a big difference during land registration.
