 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents. 4 EMIRATE AIRLINE STAFF,ARRAIGNED BEFORE THE F.H.C IN LAGOS FOR $1.6 MILLION FRAUD.

                   The four suspects are identified as Abayomi Adekanbi Abiola,Isiaka Adegoke Adedeji,Awonubi Abayomi and George Ikpekhia,were arraigned alongside Emirates Airlines,Pathfinders international LTD and Nigeria Aviation Handling company LTD.The accused persons were arraigned on eleven count charge of stealing,fraud,obtaining money under false pretence,willful destruction of evidence and failure to report an international transfer fraud.The accused persons were alleged to have on the 19th of December 2007,at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport Lagos state,stole four bags with tag number EK 428682,EK 428683,EK 650162,EK 650161,containing the sum of $1.6 million,belonging to PArince Chuikem Orji,on the promise of keeping them intact for onward delivery to him at Guangzhou,China.They were also alleged to have conspired together to fraudulently defraud the victim of the four bags containing the said amount by willfully destroying the evidences through deletion of baggage

CHINESE DRIVERS,ARE RELUCTANT TO PURCHASE ELECTRIC VEHICLES,DUE TO A LACK OF CHARGING STATIONS.

               According to sources,due to a lack of charging stations,Chinese drivers are reluctant to purchase electric vehicles,despite the governments efforts to promote green cars nation wide.Currently,to buy an electric car,drivers can enjoy a government subsidy up to $16,000.Even so,among the 260 million cars running on China's roads,electric vehicles account for less than 0.1%.Many drivers have avoided buying electric vehicles because they are daunted by the prospect of being stranded halfway home due to the inconvenience of charging their cars.Most of the charging stations are far away from residential areas,and not all off them are open to private use.Xue Xu,a professor from Peking University said ''An obstacle to the mass adoption of electric cars is the battery technology.Chinese companies should invest and research more in developing big batteries before the market is taken over by international brands''.One more photo below.
