 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents.      According to a facebook user who shared these two photos thirteen minutes ago with the caption '' It would have been a sad tale for some passengers who were involved in a ghastly motor accident while travelling to the eastern part of the country for the festive period. According to reports, the commercial bus collided with a trailer and got stuck in the process but all the passengers including the driver came out from the crash alive''.One more photo below.

      The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, yesterday, 26 December 2018, visited Katsina, Zamfara and Sokoto States to carry out on-the-spot assessment of the security situation in the 3 States. During the visits, the CAS paid courtesy calls on the State Governors and interacted with the Commanders, officers and men of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Units in the States. The CAS, who was accompanied by other senior officers from Headquarters NAF, embarked on the visit with a view to fashioning new strategies for dealing with the emerging security threats in States of the Northwest affected by the menace of armed banditry. The first port of call was Katsina, which hosts the Headquarters of the Air Task Force (HQ ATF) of Operation DIRAN MIKIYA (OPDM), where the CAS was briefed by the Air Officer Commanding Special Operations Command, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Samson Akpasa, as well as the ATF Commander, Air Commodore Ayoola Jolasinmi, on the progress of anti-armed bandit
