 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents.            Am still in shock that she is gone so soon.A Requiem mass was held yesterday Ausgust 26th 2014 in a catholic church in Abuja.President Goodluck Jonathan,his wife,Patience Jonathan,past military president,Yakubu Gowon,and other dignitaries from far and wide,came out to pay their last respect.After the requiem mass in Abuja,her body would leave for Enugu where there would be a mass at KSJ Temple.she will be lied in state in her husband compound in Agulu Anambra state tomorrow 28th August 2014.May her soul rest in peace,Amen.More photos below.

281 FAKE NYSC MEMBERS IN NIGER,THROWN OUT OF CAMP-STATE COORDINATOR.

             According to Mr Steven Ehoda-adi,the state Coordinator of NYSC,disclosed this information yesterday tuesday while speaking to journalists shortly after the closing ceremony of the 2014 Bach B orientation excercise in Paiko Niger state.He said the 281 corps members identified as fake at the state orientation camp were sent out of the camp after they failed to present their call up letters.Those affected had nothing to show as having qualified for admission into the camp.''Some of them said they lost their letters when they were attacked by armed robbers on their way to Minna,others claimed to have misplaced them,while some presented photocopies of the letters which he said was not acceptable.Only 3,259 Batch B corps members on tuesday successfully completed their three weeks orientation in the state.Another 230 corps members comprising pregnant and nursing mothers were disallowed from taking part in the normal routine during the three weeks orientation execise'&

27 BOKO HARAM MILITANTS,KILLED IN CAMEROON BORDER CLASHES.

               According to a Cameroonian soldier,Cameroon army has killed 27 members of the Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram near Fotokol town,north of Cameroon.The Boko Haram fighters crossed the border into Cameroon earlier this week,after attacking a military base and police station in Nigeria.A Cameroonian soldier in the region said the militants had been pushed back into Nigeria,with calm returning to the area today wednesday.The 27 Boko Haram members died between monday and tuesday clashes.
