 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

                 The Oyo State First Lady honours the female police officer initially wrote about in my previous posts,controlling traffic under the rain in Ibadan.The Oyo state First Lady represented by Commissioner for Women Affairs presenting the letter of commendation and cash gift at the NPF State Headquarters Eleyele Ibadan on 04.8.2016.She is identified as Maryam Opep and her good deed was first noticed by one Daniel Odofin,who took pictures of her at New Garage Ibadan,conducting traffic under the rain.More photos below.

A GENERAL OVERSEER IN ASABA,WAS ARRESTED ON THURSDAY FOR RAPING A 7 YEAR OLD.

                       The General Overseer of a church {name withheld} was on thursday arrested by the Delta State Police Command,Asaba,for allegedly raping a seven year old daughter of his member.Mrs Celestina Kalu,the }ublic Relations Officer of the command disclosed that the suspect's church is located along Ibusa Road,Koka,Asaba.According to Kalu,the cleric lured the girl into the church office to 'Pray' for her but committed the act.The victim after the incident,divulged what had happened to her parents.The couple in turn immediately rushed their daughter to the Federal Medical Centre in Asaba.The hospital report,according to the spokesman showed the girl had been raped and bruises were also discovered in her private parts.Kalu added that on investigation,the suspect confessed to the crime and would soon be charged to court.

                      45 year old HIV Malawi ritualist,who is facing trial for having sex with more than 100 young girls as part of initiation rites into womanhood,was yesterday friday denied bail by a Malawi court.Magistrate Anderson Masanjala denied Eric Aniva bail saying ''It is wise for Aniva to remain on remand so that police can finish their investigation''.Eric Aniva appeared before a packed courtroom without a lawyer,because he could not afford one.If found guilty he could be jailed for life if found guilty of underage sex.Aniva,who is from Malaw's southern district Nsanje,is one of the men known as ''hyenas' who are paid to have sex with young girls after their first menstruation.He is said to have slept with at least 104 women,some girls as young as 12 years old.The ritual lassts three days.Eric Anival was arrested last month after he revealed that families paid him between $4 and $7 to have sexual intercourse with their c...

                                   The Lagos State Government wishes to announce the closure of the Marine Bridge Road {Inward Ijora} preparatory to the commencement of repair works by the contractors of the Federal Ministry of Works.The emergency and immediate closure is to also allow the Federal Ministry carryout studies to determine the state of the Bridge and effect appropriate repairs.While the Federal Ministry of Power,Works and Housing has assured of immediate action towards repairing the Bridge as it may deem fit,the Lagos State Government is committed to putting in place effective traffic management strategies that will mitigate the impact of the closure.Accordingly,the following routes can be use by commuters as alternate route.They are: i.
