 Russian forces to stay in Mali to fight terrorism: Kremlin The Kremlin said on Thursday that Russian forces would stay in Mali to help the country's government battle terrorists following an offensive over the weekend by Tuareg-led separatists and terrorists. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov made the statement after being asked by a reporter how Russia responded to a purported statement from the terrorists saying they wanted Russia to leave Mali. "Russia's presence there is, in fact, due to the need identified by the current government. Russia will continue, including in Mali, to combat extremism, terrorism and other harmful phenomena and will continue to provide assistance to the current government," said Peskov, AFP reported. The Russian Defence Ministry had claimed on Tuesday that units of its African Corps prevented an attempted coup on April 25, 2026 in Mali.                    Troops of 3 Battalion,of 22 Task Force Brigade have made an unprecedented catch with the arrest arrest of 4 Boko Haram terrorists Ameers {kingpins} at Rann,headquarters of Kala Balge Local Government Area yesterday friday the 22nd of April 2016.The arrested kingpins specialized on various aspects of criminality to sustain the Boko Haram terrorists group in their areas.The four terrorists were arrested following a tip off by well meaning members of the public.Subsequently,the troops conducted a cordon and search operation in the general area that led to the apprehension of the terrorists leaders,who contribute to the sustenance of the insurgency through their illegal trade specialization.The arrested kingpins include Umara Mai Gyaran Rediyo {Radio Technician},Umaru Mai Nama,{who specialize in cattle rustling and sales},Alifa Makint {a specialist on stealing foodstuffs} and Balu Jugudum {in charge of stolen jewelleries}....

THE NIGERIAN ARMY,INTERCEPTED A SUICIDE BOMBER TODAY AT UMMARARI COMMUNITY.{PHOTOS}.

                                                              Troops of 7 Division Garrison Forward Operation Base {FOB},today averted yet another suicide bombing catastrophe on Ummarari community by suspected Boko Haram terrorists at about 7.000am this morning.The suicide bomber was intercepted by the vigilant troops and the Civilian JTF while making attempt to enter the village to detonate his dangerous cargo on innocent persons in Ummarari.The suicide bomber detonated the strapped Improvised Explosive Device {IED} vest on his body,thus killing himself instantly when he was forced to halt based on suspicion that he was carrying suicide bombing material.Thankfully,there was no any other casualty other than the suspected suicide bomber.Troops along with the Civilian JTF at the village are now combing the surrounding area to forestall ...

                       There is a gist going round watsapp and someone identified as Ijeoma forwarded this information to me.She wrote ''Please send this to all your contacts,it's very important.Chinese people have started producing corned beef with their dead bodies and sending them to Africa.Please stay away from corned beef irrespective of the brand,most especially in Africa and from Afro-Asian grocery shops''.I will like NAFDAC and other regulating bodies to look into these issue.
