PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.      According to sources the family of five all died in a motor accident along Kubwa-Abuja Expressway on the 25th of December 2019.They are identified as Samson Adetunji Alowe {42},Opeyemi Adetunji Alowe {40},Angel Adetunji Alowe {12},Prosper Adetunji Alowe {10} and Fortune Adetunji Alowe. May their souls rest in Peace,Amen.

      A now-trending report says a lady from the Garden City (Port Harcourt), Rivers State bought a car, Toyota Camry for her boyfriend. According to the report, she bought the car by saving N10,000 every week for two (2) years. This was after a friend mocked her boyfriend for not having a car and her for dating a 'broke guy'. She presented the car to her boyfriend as Christmas gift, sparking mixed reactions on social media.

      Lagos State Government in the spirit of the yuletide season, celebrated with children living with disabilities and presented financial support to the various service providers for the children at a Christmas party held at the Correctional Center for Junior Boys Birrell Avenue , Sabo Yaba, Lagos. The Commissioner for Ministry of Youth and Social Development , Mr Olusegun Dawodu  appreciated the Lagos State Governor Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu for celebrating with the various service providers and the physically-challenged persons. Dawodu said that the event was in sync with the present administration's plegde to ensure that children living with disabilities in the state are not left behind in the scheme of things.       In fulfilment of its promise to unlock traffic gridlock in the 60 trouble zones identified at the beginning of this administration, the Lagos State Government today commenced infrastructural improvement on four identified junctions - 2nd Roundabout Lekki/Epe Expressway, Ikotun, Allen Avenue and Maryland in the metropolis. Commissioner for Transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde conducted journalists round some of the junctions/roundabouts where improvement work and reordering is ongoing, saying that the projects are in line with the administration’s commitment to easing traffic congestion in the State. LAGOS PRESENTS N250M SEED CHEQUE FOR TECH START-UPS.{PHOTOS}.

      As part of plans to make Lagos State a hub for innovation and technology, Lagos State Governor on Friday, presented a seed fund of Two Hundred and Fifty Million naira to Lagos State Science Research and Innovation Council (LASRIC). LASRIC is a Lagos State institution in charge of research with the responsibility of boosting innovation and technology in the State. It presently has a 16-Man team headed by the Vice Chancellor  of University of Lagos, Professor Toyin Ogundipe. Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, during the presentation of the cheque at the Government House in Alausa, charged the committee to ensure that the criteria to access the fund is flexible enough for Lagosians to benefit from. RIWAMA CANCELS SANITATION EXERCISE FOR TOMORROW SATURDAY.[PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE,

      state tomorrow, Saturday, December 28, 2019 has been cancelled. The Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Bro. Felix Obuah in a statement said the cancellation of the exercise was to allow residents and those doing business in the State to observe the festive season. While wishing people of the State a happy and prosperous Christmas and New Year celebrations, Bro. Obuah however urged them to keep their surroundings clean and observe the dumping hours of 6pm to 12 midnight and also ensure to dump their wastes at RIWAMA approved receptacles only. He said it would be wrong for people to use the opportunity of the festive period to dump their wastes indiscriminately and flout sanitation laws, warning that Sanitation Marshals are still on duty and would arrest anyone seen to be flouting the Sanitation rules.
