 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents. 2 STOREY BUILDING COLLAPSED AT OWORONSOKI.

            According to a national newspaper,the building which is located at 11,Sand  Beach lane,off Alonge street,Oworonsoki,Kosofe Lagos was under construction when it collapsed,and 10 people escaped death.The building collapsed on thursday morning.The victims including four minors between the ages of 10 and 16,who are assistant to the construction workers,were later rescued by emergency rescue officers from the state agencies.They were later transferred to Folabi medical centre,while two adults were taken to Gagada General Hospital,for further medical care.More pictures below.

          According to sources,Time magazine has included 23 years old Erwaina Sulistyanningsih,who suffered months of abuse and torture from her Hong Kong employer as one of the world's 100 most influential people,putting the spotling on the the city's treatment of it's migrant workers.It was because of her bravery,that was why she was listed in the magazine.According to the magazine,Erwiana is advocating for better laws to protect others who may share her fate,placing a spotlight on the plight of a vulnerable and often invisible population.

NIGERIAN CENSORS BOARD,HALTS THE VIEWING OF HALF A YELLOW SUN.

                   Half a Yellow Sun book/film written by Ngozi Chimamanda Adichie's,which was supposed to hit the cinema's world wide today,might be delayed in Nigeria untill May 2nd.The film is based on the Biafra war that took place between 1967-1970,in which the Igbo speaking part of Nigeria is fighting for their independence.Though the film had not been officially banned in Nigeria,but there is a delay in getting certification from Nigeria film and Censorship Board.By today friday we will know if it's banned or not.
