CABLE VANDALISM: SUSPECT CAUGHT IN ABIA COMMUNITY. (PHOTO).

Abia State Community Policing Vigilante has arrested an electric cable thief, simply identified as Samuel, while vandalizing power installations along Isi Court-Ikputu road in Isiala Ngwa area. While two out of the three thieves escaped with their operational tricycle, the leader of the syndicate identified as Samuel, from Ebonyi State was apprehended by the Community Policing Vigilante. The arrest of the suspect was made known by the Commander of Abia State Community Policing Vigilante in the area, K.C. Martins. Martins, who said that efforts have been intensified by his men to arrest the two fleeing members of the criminal gang, commended Governor Alex Otti’s administration’s determination protecting the lives and property of the people in the State.       Governor Samuel Ortom this morning met students of the University of Jos who were evacuated by the state government from the school on account of the security situation. He sympathized with the institution and the Plateau State Government and prayed that the situation would improve. Governor Ortom stated that as a state which has experienced a similar situation he appreciated the pains and anguish. He expressed his condolence to those who lost loved ones and urged the Federal Government to rise up to its responsibility of protecting lives and property. According to him all the agencies for the enforcement of the laws and provision of security belong to the Federal Government. The Governor suggested the establishment of state police to help tackle the challenge. Three Nigerian Army officers and two soldiers were on Tuesday 2nd October 2018 sanctioned, by the General Court Martial (GCM) sitting in Maimalari Cantonment Maiduguri Borno State, to try erring personnel on various offences against them. 2. Speaking while delivering the judgement, the President of the Court Martial Brigadier General Olusegun Adesina stated that the offences were bordered on cowardice, negligenc e, abduction and discipline. 3. One of the accused, Captain Alhamdu Kwasau was found guilty of offences of cowardly behaviour and negligence while carrying out his military duty. He was reduced to the rank of a Lieutenant with two years lost of seniority on the rank. 4. Similarly, Captain Jimen Babangida and Lieutenant Sanusi Bello were also found guilty of conduct prejudice to service discipline. EFCC ARRESTED A MAN OVER ONLINE SCAM IN IBADAN.{PHOTOS}.

      The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Office has arrested one Oke Omoniyi Benjamin (33) from Efon-Alaaye, Ekiti State for internet fraud. Benjamin was arrested sequel to an Intelligent Report received on 27th August, 2018, alleging that he is into internet fraud and has also defrauded a number of foreigners of their money through fraudulent schemes.  The report however stated that Benjamin used the proceeds of his fr aud to buy two cars, and also own a unisex salon known as Signatures Unisex Salon located at No. 238, Ilawe Road, opposite Baptist School, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.At the point of arrest, Operatives of the Commission recovered an Acura TL, 2010 with Registration Number BDG 969FH and a Lexus ES 300, 2002 with Registration Number EPE 829FJ, two Laptops, two Phones, forged documents and several counterfeit cheques of various foreign Banks.
