 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation. Opara commended MACBAN for its readiness to collaborate with the police in promoting peace and security in Taraba. 16 KANO PREGNANT WOMEN,BARRED FROM HAJJ.

                         Today thursday,the Kano State Pilgrim Welfare Board said that 16 female intending pilgrims,discovered to be pregnant,had been barred from performing 2016 Hajj.The Executive Secretary of the board,Malam Abba Yakubu,disclosed this in an interview in Kano.He said the affected pilgrims were detected during the medical and pregnancy test conducted by the committee set up to screen the pilgrims.He said ''All the 16 female intending pilgrims will not be allowed to go to Holy Land in compliance with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria {NAHCON} directive''.Yakubu said the board had already replaced the affected pilgrims with the names of their relations as requested by them.He disclosed that the board had completed the necessary arrangements for the commencement of the transportation of its intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.The executive secretary said the exercise,which was to commence today August 11...

A BRITISH MAN WAS FOUND DEAD EARLIER TODAY INSIDE A HOTEL LOCATED IN LEKKI LAGOS STATE.

                   Today thursday,a British national was found dead inside a hotel located in Lekki,Lagos State.The man identified as 55 years old Gibson Mark Damien,was discovered motionless around 12 am at Chuchill Lodge.Until his death,the man worked with Port to Port Office in Victoria Island.The spokesperson of the state police command,Dolapo Badmos,a Superintendent {SP},said the hotel manager,Mrs Ihuoma Ubani reported that the deceased who was a guest in the hotel,was found motionless and a doctor from Ave Maria Specialist Hospital in Oniru was contacted to examine him.''Thee doctor certified the British man dead and his corpse was thereafter deposited at a morgue for autopsy'',
