 Dolly Parton returns to public eye to celebrate opening day at Dollywood     Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in months to celebrate the opening day of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, on Friday. The country music icon reflected on the past year, a year after the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, saying she is “doing good” and has been working to rebuild herself spiritually, emotionally, and physically after grieving and dealing with health issues that kept her from touring. Joined on stage by Dollywood president Eugene Naughton, Parton brought her trademark humor to the crowd, joking about rumors of a new husband while reaffirming her devotion to Dean. She also shared updates on her ongoing projects, including a new Broadway musical and her Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum in Nashville. Dreams models: Alphonsus Kennedy gets 131 votes, lauds fans One of the top contenders in the 2022 Dreams Model International competition, Alphonsus Kennedy, has applauded his fans for helping to keep his hopes alive in the competition. The aspiring top model, who came all the way from Dubai to be part of the show, has clinched no less than 131 votes so far in the competition. "This is my first outing for a competition like this; and the experience is astounding," he gushed.   "I am working tirelessly to get more votes; also my fans are working day and night to make sure I win," Kennedy added, and called on his fans not to relent. The indigene of Umunakanu Ama in Ehime Mbano, Imo State, also had good words for the event organisers.  "This year's event is currently going well; from the auditions to the online process, it's been a huge success for the entire Dreams Model Academy."
