PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.       President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday spoke with Mohammed Liman, father of Hauwa Liman, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) midwife who was slain by Boko Haram terrorists. In a telephone call, President Buhari commiserated with the family and assured Miss Liman's father that the Nigerian government did everything possible to save his daughter's life, expressing sadness that all the efforts turned out unsuccessful . He regretted that her commitment to helping victims of the Boko Haram insurgency ended in such a brutal way. President Buhari also spoke with Peter Maurer, the President of the ICRC, extending condolences on the loss of the midwife.          The ex-governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose today Tuesday fulfilled his promise of visiting the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abuja office.Fayose entered into the EFCC office in the company of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and the former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode.He was spotted wearing a black t-shirt with the inscription “EFCC, I’m here,I am here in line with my promise that I will be here on the 16th of October, and like I said to EFCC, they should await my arrival. “This morning, they have been to my house which I think it’s unnecessary''. Femi Fani-Kayode wrote on social media one hour ago '' At EFCC today with my brother Peter the Rock. He was strong and courageous.      Sources close to the former couple tell us Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson split over the weekend, with both parties acknowledging that it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off. We're told the two still have love for each other, but things are over romantically. S ource says while things may be done for the couple for now, the two aren't ruling out the possibility of anything in the future. Ariana and Pete announced their engagement   earlier this year in June -- just a few weeks after they were reported to be just casually dating.        Mr. Friday Saka Ebelo has been appointed the Gombe Zonal Head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Ebelo, a Deputy Chief Detective Superintendent, DCDS, was until his new appointment, the Head of Advance Fee Fraud, AFF, Abuja, where he made his mark. He is a regular course one officer with years of experience. He took over from Mr. Johnson Babalola who was deployed to Abuja the Head Office of the Commission.More photos below.

He commiserated with the family of the aid worker, and said the Federal Government did all within its powers to save her life. ''It is very unfortunate that it has come to this. Before and after the deadline issued by her abductors, the Federal Government did everything any responsible government should do to save the aid worker.        Governor Samuel Ortom has directed the Benue State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, to step up food distribution at the various Internally Displaced Persons camps across the state. He gave the directive today when he received Mrs. Joy Terna, a nursing mother who lost one hand during a Fulani militia herdsmen attack. Governor Ortom hosted the victim after he read a report of her plight in The Vanguard newspaper of Sunday, 14th October, 2018. He also directed his personal physician, Dr. Zulum Gbaa, to attend to the victim at the Benue peoples House and give her full medical attention. He promised to revisit the IDP camps to assess their current conditions with a view to taking more steps to alleviate their sufferings.       On Tuesday, Oct 16, 2018, Dr John Kayode Fayemi would be sworn in as the executive governor of Ekiti state for the second term. while thanking the people of Ekiti State for voting massively for him to govern them for second term, he said; I am thankful to God for giving me this rare opportunity, I feel a sense of elation, a sense of duty. What happened in Ekiti with my return is a testament to resilience, determination and tenacity of purpose. We will still address all the issues captured in our first term eight-point agenda, but we will concentrate a lot more on for drivers in this four-year term. We will focus on Agriculture and Rural Development; Promotion of the Knowledge economy; improve infrastructure and industrial development.
