 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation. Opara commended MACBAN for its readiness to collaborate with the police in promoting peace and security in Taraba.       The Ibadan Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction of nine internet fraudsters, before two different judges of the Federal High Court, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital. . . The latest of the convictions, involved Toheeb Abdulrasheed and Chukwuebuka Isaac Dike, who were sentenced by Justice Mohammed Abubakar of the Federal High Court, Abeokuta, Ogun State on Monday, June 8, 2020 for their involvement in internet-related fraud. . . Dike, who claimed to be a 100-level Biochemistry student of the Federal University of Agriculture, FUNAAB, was sentenced to three months in prison; while Abdulrasheed, a self-acclaimed graduate of Business Administration from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, MAPOLY, Abeokuta, bagged four months.More photos below.

          Rivers State Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has reviewed the restriction on the number of worshippers during church services from 50 to 70 persons in the state. Modalities are also being worked out for the number of Moslems that will participate in Friday prayers. These were part of resolutions reached at a meeting of religious leaders in the State with Governor Wike at Government House, Port Harcourt. Governor Wike stated that his administration does not want to take decisions on review of existing restrictions on the modes of religious gatherings without their inputs.        A disgusting video footage has surfaced the internet showing a mature lady committing abominatio with an innocent 8months baby who does not know what is happening around him because he is still little in knowledge. According to the video footage, A lady was seen sucking the genital of a 8 months old baby repeatedly without feeling remorseful. What makes matter worst is that the lady was obviously smiling and making gestures like she was praying while committing the horrid act.     The woman who beat up her 2-year-old daughter and called her a prostitute after she caught a man raping her has been found.      The mother seemed unrepentant and acted aggressively towards the people who visited her to discuss her daughter's wellbeing. She informed them that she's educated and went to school too and made it clear that she does not appreciate their interference. The woman also put up a struggle when they attempted to take her kids (the 2-year-old girl and her elder brother) from her. Since there was no one willing to take the woman's children in, they were taken to the police station, but the Good Samaritan who made the rape victim's plight go viral has said the children might have to be returned to their mother since the police can't keep them indefinitely.        The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has been drawn to a ruling of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, delivered on Monday, June 8, 2020, on the vacation of an interim forfeiture order regarding some assets traced to former Aviation Minister, Senator Stella Oduah. Justice Inyang Ekwo, in the ruling, struck out the EFCC’s counter-affidavit on the ground that it “was filed out of time without first  seeking the court’s leave for an extension of time to file”. The EFCC is dissatisfied with the ruling and will file an appeal against it accordingly.
