 Zamfara Governor’s Wife Facilitates Marriage for 100 Orphans, Offers Support to Grooms The wife of the Zamfara State Governor, Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has overseen the marriage of 100 orphaned girls in the state. The brides, who were well cared for prior to the ceremony, received full attention for their beautification. Each bride’s dowry, amounting to 151,000 Naira, was covered by the Governor’s wife. In addition, Huriyya Dauda Lawal provided essential household items, including furniture such as cushions, beds, wardrobes, mattresses, and kitchen utensils. Furthermore, she offered financial assistance of N50,000 to each groom to help them start their businesses and achieve self-sufficiency. Hajiya Lawal encouraged the brides to respect their husbands and practice patience. She also assured them that the Zakkat and Endowment Board would be available to offer support should any marital issues arise.

                  Today is The Queen's 91st birthday.The Queen of England was born in London on the 21st of April 1926.Queen Elizabeth II has ruled for longer than any other Monarch in British history,becoming a much loved and respected figure around the world.Her Majesty continues to carry out a full programme of engagements,from visits to charities and schools,to hosting visiting Heads of State,to leading the nation in Remembrance and celebratory events.The Queen's official birthday celebrations are held in June.This year,the Trooping of the Colour falls on 17 June 2017.

EFCC DEBUNKS ONLINE REPORT TODAY OF RAIDING THE ABUJA HOME OF SENATOR DANJUMA GOJE.

                   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,is pleading to the general public to  please disregard online reports claiming the EFCC yesterday April 20 raided the Abuja home of Senator Danjuma Goje.The report is false as the Commission was not a part of any such activity.I was also shocked when i read the story,Thanks EFCC for clearing the air.

                   The Lagos State Government today friday debunked media reportd linking it to the demolition of Berger retail market,saying that the allegation was far from the truth.In a statement by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development,Tpl. Wasiu Anifowose,the State Government described the media reports as figment of imagination of the authors.The demolition exercise was carried out on Wednesday and most traders denied being served contravention notices.While clarifying the position of the State Government,Anifowose said it was not the norm of the government to act in such manner,adding that before any demolition is carried out,all statutory notices are served.''While the reports in one breath claimed that the State Government was responsible for the demolition,it was also said that it was in compliance with a court judgment.The same report also alleged that an unnamed former Governor was behind the exercise,...

                     The general public has been urged to be acquainted with recent trends in Capital Markets related fraud.Until recently,Capital Markets scams usually involved transfer of shares from one Stock broking house to another one of the Syndicate fraudster's choice where the shares are fraudulently sold without the knowledge of the real owner.It also involved stealing of share certificates,stealing of dividend warrants and clearing them through a fraudulent bank account opened in the name of the original owner.The fraudsters usually target accounts which have been dormant for a long period as well as shares of deceased investors.This fraud is carried out in connivance with a syndicate at Nigerian Stock Exchange/Central Securities Clearing System and Registrars of the Companies whose shares are traded.Sometimes the scammers lodge the cheques issued to them by the stock broking firms and clear them through Microfinance bank...
