 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. HUNDREDS OF zIMBABWE MIGRANTS,TO BE DEPORTED THIS WEEK FROM SOUTH AFRICA.

                   Hundreds of illegal zimbabwe migrants are to be deported from South Africa on wednesday following the forced repatriation of 140 ex-prisoners this weekend.The official Chronicles newspaper said that 950 zimbabwean migrants who had broken South African immigration regulations had been identified at Lindela Holding Centre in Johannesburg.zimbabew's consul general to South Africa Batiraishe Mukonoweshuro told the paper on saturday that most of the immigrants at the transit camp will be sent home on wednesday this week.A total o 140 zimbabweans,who had served jail time in South Africa,were being sent home on two trucks with a police escort at the weekend.Their offences range from housebreaking to murder,according to the Chronicle.More photos below.

ETISALAT BROUGHT A LEGAL ACTION AGAINST MTN,OVER THE ACQUISITION OF VISAFONE.

                     I just received an information that Etisalat,a telecommunication firm in Nigeria has brought a legal action against MTN Nigeria and Visafone Ltd,challenging MTN's use of the 800MH spectrum following the acquisition of Visafone.Etisalat said the court action was necessary to prevent the use of the spectrum by MTN at this time,as it will entrench the dominance of MTN in the retail data service market.It noted that MTN Nigeria had been declared dominant by the Nigerian Communications Commission {NCC} in 2013 and remains dominant in the wholesale leased line and retail voice markets.Chineze Amanfo,Head of Media,Etisalat in a statement said the use of the 800MHz spectrum to deploy broadband services ahead of its competitors,particularly those who,prior to MTNs purchase as MTN,will further entrench MTN's dominance in the Nigerian telecommunications sector.She said in line with Section 86 of the Nigerian Communications Act,2003,engaged the NCC to understand the ba

                        Today monday,a Federal High Court Judge in Lagos state,Justic Ibrahim Buba,directed security agencies to arrest a former Niger Delta Militant leader.Ekpemupole aka Tompolo.He held that the warrant of arrest still subsists.The Judge said ''All authorities are under obligation to ensure Tompolo is arrested and produced in court to face trial.Justice Buba dismissed Tompolo's application seeking to quash the warrant of arrest issued to compel his appearance.Justice Ibrahim Buba on January 14 issued the warrant after Tompolo failed to report in court ti face criminal charges filed against him by the Economic and financial Crimes Commission {EFCC}.The judge had earlier issued summons on Tompolo,documents which EFCC lawyer, Festus Keyamo,said were duly affixed on a conspicuous part of Tompolo's home at 1 Chief Agbanu DDPA Extension,Warri,Delta State,as ordered by the court.But Tompolo claimed that the EFCC did not follow due process of Law in applying f
