 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents.                              In a leaked letter,circulating on everywhere dated February 19,President Jonathan through his Chief of staff,Brigadier General Jones Oladehinde Arogbofa {RTD},told EFCC to investigate 20 persons including All Progressives Congress leaders like former Lagos state governor,Bola Tinubu,former Vice President of Nigeria,Atiku Abubaka and Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers state.The letter reads ''I have been directed by the C in C to instruct your Agency to clandestinely investigate the personal and official finances of the following present and former governor functionaries and report back by 16th of March''.''THE PRESIDENCY:OFFICE OF THE CHIEF OF STAFF''.The names of other people,are contained in the letter below.                                          

THE POLICE COMMISSIONER IN OYO STATE MUSA,AND HIS TEAM,RESCUED THE FOUNDER OF BOND GROUP OF COMPANIES,CHIEF OMOTOSHO.

                     According to the Nigerian police,on tuesday the police rescued the Executive Chairman and founder of Bond Group of companies,Chief Adebowale Omotosho,from kidnappers hideout at Ajia village,Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State.Seven suspected members of the kidnap gang were arrested by the police.Their names are 32 years old Bisi Babatunda,who is said to be on the wanted list pf the police in Rivers state.28 years old Laide Shittu,40 year old Ajayi Olaniyi,23 year old Isiaka Kazeem,Alabi Olufemi,Oladipupo Abayomi and Ayobami Musa.The eight suspect,whose name was simply given as lucky,is currently at large.Also recovered were two AK 47 rifles,three imported pump action guns,three locally made pistol,Ak 47 magazines,as well as unspecified number of AK 47 ammunition and live cartridges.Chief Omotosho,a 78 year old man ,was abducted by suspected kidnappers from his residence at Gaa area of Awe,Oyo state,on wednesday March 4 2015 at about 7:30pm,with a sum of $1mil
