 ‎‎NAF RECEIVES FIVE NEW HELICOPTERS AS FG ACCELERATES AIRPOWER MODERNISATION ‎ The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has taken delivery of five new helicopters as the Federal Government accelerates efforts to modernize Nigeria’s airpower capabilities and strengthen the Armed Forces’ capacity to respond effectively to contemporary security challenges.  ‎ ‎A statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame indicates that the platforms comprise three AW-109 Trekker B helicopters  and two H-125 helicopters. ‎ The three AW-109s, which form part of 10 recently acquired by the Federal Government, were received in Lagos on 15 September 2026, with the remaining seven expected to be delivered before the end of 2026. ‎ ‎The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, described the acquisition as another significant milestone in the Federal Government’s sustained investment in the modernization and re-equipment of the NAF noting that the new pl...

85 YEAR OLD MAN GOODLUCK,BEHEADED OVER LAND DISPUTE IN BENIN.

                           According to sources,a 85 year old man Goodluck Uwumahongie,who is a community leader in Arougba village,in Oredo Local Government Area of Benin Edo state,was beheaded by unknown persons over land tussle.The Police sources confirm that the killers left the victims head.The assailants were said to have shot Goodluck Uwumahongie before they chopped off his head.He was said to have been alone at his inlaws residence at Irhirhi village when the attackers struck.It was gathered that Goodluck had fled to Irhirhi,following the crisis that was trailed to a land dispute at Aruogba,where many houses were burnt and three persons killed.Goodluck's widow Julie confirmed the killing of her husband and said that it was because of that land dispute that her husband was killed.She claimed one Osamwonyi has earlier threaten to kill her husband before and after the crisis.She was hiding her husband in her fath...

2 POLICEMEN KILLED YESTERDAY,AS THIEVES ATTACKED A POLICE STATION IN IKORODU.

               According to Kenneth Nwosu,the Lagos State Police Command Public Relation Officer,who confirmed the incident that took place yesterday/midnight monday at Owutu Police station Owutu Agric Ikorodu,Lagos,said ''Oil thieves engaged the policemen in a fierce battle in the midnight.The men were about 30,killed two of our officers.The oil thieves sustained various degrees of injuries during the duel and they escaped but our men are on their trail.Investigation is ongoing as we are looking at bringing them to justic because this is really unlawfl''.Other sources said that the thieves who were from Ijaw,had been arrested and detained by the police at the station yesterday monday,but the thieves regrouped and attacked the police station,killing two police corporals in the process.
