 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents.                                                     Barbara Cheeseborough best known as the model on the very fist issue of Essence magazine in May 1970.she died of colon cancer on October 24th at the age of 67years.she is a native of Philadelphia,she was signed to the Ford modeling agency and appeared in magazines including Vogue,Harper's Bazaar and Cosmopolitan along with walking the runway for designers like Givenchy,Dior,Yves Saint Laurent and Calvin Klien.she was married for 47 years to Willian Edward Cheeseborough,a fashion photographer and is survived by their daughter,Sia Suon C heeseborough Bey,three brothers and two sisters.more photos below.
