 October 1 protest: Ogun court restricts protesters to MKO Abiola Stadium, three other venues A High Court sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has restricted members of the #FearlessInOctober protest groups in the state to the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu; Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode, and Ansar-Ud-Deen Comprehensive High School, Ota. The court presided by Tajudeen. A.Okunsokan gave this order following an application brought by the Attorney-General of Ogun State in suit no AB/667/2024, and with Messers Afolabi Adeboye, Ifemosu Michael, Lekan Soneye (for themselves and members of the#FearlessInOctober protests); Bestman Okereafor (on behalf of the Progressive Students Movement), Francis Adeyanju (on behalf of the National Association of Nigerian Students) and Thomas Kehinde (on behalf of the National Association of Ogun Students), as respondents.                       Today friday one of the candidate {Zainab Usman}that is to context for Governor under African Democratic Congress {ADC} tomorrow saturday in Kogi state,has withdrawn from the race at the last minute.Usman who is the only female in the race,is stepping down and pitching her tent with the candidate of the All Progressives Congress {APC} Prince Abubakar Audu,according to a statement she signed today friday.She said she decided to step down for Audu because he is the only candidate that can take the state to the promise land.''I decided to dump my ambition and support Audu to move the state forward and continue from where he stopped in 2003.I have thus directed all my supporters to go out and vote en mass for the APC and Prince Audu tomorrow''.

                    Musician Miley Cyrus gave her fans yesterday thursday a hell of a show as she quick change into different outfits at her Dead Petz club gigs in Chicago.She performed songs from her latest album to a sold out crowd in Chicago,the first stop in a six date tour.At a point ,she entered the stage with a metallic bondage style underwear and matching thigh high boots,showing off a pair of fake boobs and a prosthetic penis.Not to say much,just view some of her costumes below.                              

73 OUT OF 170 HOSTAGES HELD IN A HOTEL ''RADISSON'' IN MALI BY MILITANTS TODAY,ARE NOW FREE.

                Today friday,at least 27 people were reportedly dead after Malian commandos stormed a luxury hotel identified as Radisson Blu hotel at Bamako with at least 170 people inside,many of them foreigners,that had been seized by Islamist gunmen.Later on 73 people were released and security forces are now trying to make their way through the Hotel.Another source said 18 bodies were found in the building ,then two attackers have been killed.Special forces teams have been moving through the hotel floor by floor,freeing hostages.The assailants had gathered on the seventh floor,while on lookers say they heard sporadic gunfire as the hostages situation continued.By late afternoon,ministerial adviser Amadou Sangho told a French television station BFMTV that no more hostages were being held.More photos below.

                                                                                The Council's Communication Manager,Mr Desmond Omovie,made the disclosure to NAN today Friday in Lagos.According to him,the event is part of efforts by the council to identify with and honour such students that have acquired UK education.''In some few months from now,we will be organising an alumni event,basically for Nigerians who have been to the UK to study and now are back to contribute their quota to the country's development.You know each time we have Nigerian students going over to the UK to study,we usually encourage them to go back home at the end of their courses and see how they can plough back their knowledge and experience back to the society''.Joke Silver is not the only one to be honoured,Prof Wole Soyinka and other Nigerians who had been to the UK to sturdy will be honoured too.One more photo below.                                                   

A GHASTLY ACCIDENT OCCURRED AROUND BENIN/ONITSHA HIGH-WAY TODAY,KILLING MANY PEOPLE.

                According to eyewitness account ,they said the accident occurred around 10:40 am and it involved a fully loaded 16 seater bus taxi painted in the blue/white colour of commercial vehicles in Delta state.Although the death toll was unknown at the time of this report.''The death toll is expected to be high''.It was gathered that despite the fact that the accident occurred close to the Asaba Airport,rescue effort did commence for at least one hour afterwards.
