PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs.       Sequel to the gradual and controlled easing of the COVID-19 lockdown in the State, the Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, has released updated guidelines relevant to building construction sites in the State. The guidelines were listed in a statement issued on Friday by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Dr. Idris Salako, who said that i t had become expedient to provide additional directives to curtail the continuous spread of the Coronavirus on all construction sites in the State.       Good people of Lagos, 42 more persons; 22 males and 20 females, all Nigerians have been discharged from our Isolation facilities today to reunite with the society. The patients, 32 from Eti-Osa (Landmark), 8 from Lekki and 2 from Onikan Isolation centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings. This brings to 448, the number of COVID19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos State Isolation facilities.One more photo below.

       Igwe John Umenyiora, the Ezedioramma 1 of Ogbunike Round Palace in Anambra state, has died. Igwe Umenyiora is the father of NFL star Osi Umenyiora and also the father of CEO of Dilly Motors, Okwudili Umenyiora. He is also the father-in-law to former Miss Universe, Leila Lopes Umenyiora According to his daughter'-in-law, Fifi Umenyiora, he died after 44 years on the throne. The cause of his death was not revealed. Mourning him, Fifi wrote: "IGWE!! My Lovely Father-in-law, You were a great man and Our hero!!!.       The Supreme Court, on Friday, quashed the judgement that convicted and sentenced the former governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor-Kalu, to 12 years imprisonment. The apex court, in a unanimous decision by a seven-man panel of Justices led by Justice Amina Augie, held that the Federal High Court in Lagos acted without jurisdiction when it convicted Kalu, his firm, Slok Nigeria Limited and former Direc tor of Finance in Abia State, Jones Udeogu.It held that trial Justice Mohammed Liman was no longer a judge of the Federal High Court as at the time he sat and delivered the judgement that convicted the defendants for allegedly stealing about N7.1billion from Abia state treasury.
