 M23 says hundreds of Burundi soldiers captured in latest Congo offensive The Rwanda-backed M23 group has captured hundreds of Burundian soldiers during its latest offensive in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, a rebel official said, as clashes continued despite a warning from the Trump administration. Last week M23 entered the strategic town of Uvira near the border with Burundi, less than a week after the presidents of Congo and Rwanda met in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump and affirmed their commitment to a peace deal known as the Washington Accords. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday that Rwanda's actions in eastern Congo violated the Washington Accords and vowed to "take action to ensure promises made to the President are kept". Rwanda denies supporting M23 and has blamed Congolese and Burundian forces for the renewed fighting.                Police in Ghana said yesterday saturday that they had tracked down and arrested the partner of a British actress whose body was found dead in the garden of her London home this week along with those of their two young sons.Arthur Simpson-Kent is wanted in connection with the murder of Sian Blake,a former actress in the popular soap opera EastEnders,and the two boys, zachary and Amon.The family had been reportedly missing in mid-December.According to a police spokesman in Ghana he said ''The suspect has been arrested by police and i can confirm his identity.He was at a hideout in in Weatern Region.With the kind of collaboration between the police and the public that we have,we maanaged to nab him there''.A spokesman for interpol in Ghana said the suspect was being driven back from the port city of Takoradi to the capital Accra and would arrive late on saturday.In a statement released in London,Scotland Yard police said tthey had been...

A CHINESE MAN WAS RESCUED YESTERDAY FROM A COLD RIVER,IN ATTEMPT TO COMMIT SUICIDE.

                       According CCTV,employees at a seafood restaurant in Kunshan city in eastern China's Jiansu Province rescued an elderly man who attempted suicide by jumping into a freezing river yesterday saturday morning.Surveillance camera footage from the restaurant showed the man climbing over the stone railing and falling into a river.The restaurant's cooks at one rushed to provide first aid,with one of them jumping into the river.One more photo below.

                      This weekend,a staff of Adeyemi College of Education {ACE} in Ondo west local government area of Ondo state,Miss Evelyn Ajagun has been reportedly found dead in her apartment at Palmgroove street,Oka in Ondo town.Sources told pressmen that the middle age woman,whose remains was discovered at the weekend by her neighbours was already decomposed.It was learnt that Evelyn's neighbours were forced to open her door when a strange odour was traced to her apartment.one of the College's students,who is a neighbour to the deceased but who spoke under anonymity said the last time they saw Evelyn was last tuesday.She noted that the circumstances surrounding her death still remained a misery to them.But the DPO in charge of Enu Owa Division in Ondo,CSP Adekunle Omisakin said preliminary investigation revealed that Evelyn was probably sick,locked up herself until she died having had nobody to attend to her.He said the unfor...
