 Zamfara Governor’s Wife Facilitates Marriage for 100 Orphans, Offers Support to Grooms The wife of the Zamfara State Governor, Huriyya Dauda Lawal, has overseen the marriage of 100 orphaned girls in the state. The brides, who were well cared for prior to the ceremony, received full attention for their beautification. Each bride’s dowry, amounting to 151,000 Naira, was covered by the Governor’s wife. In addition, Huriyya Dauda Lawal provided essential household items, including furniture such as cushions, beds, wardrobes, mattresses, and kitchen utensils. Furthermore, she offered financial assistance of N50,000 to each groom to help them start their businesses and achieve self-sufficiency. Hajiya Lawal encouraged the brides to respect their husbands and practice patience. She also assured them that the Zakkat and Endowment Board would be available to offer support should any marital issues arise.

               Police in Ghana said yesterday saturday that they had tracked down and arrested the partner of a British actress whose body was found dead in the garden of her London home this week along with those of their two young sons.Arthur Simpson-Kent is wanted in connection with the murder of Sian Blake,a former actress in the popular soap opera EastEnders,and the two boys, zachary and Amon.The family had been reportedly missing in mid-December.According to a police spokesman in Ghana he said ''The suspect has been arrested by police and i can confirm his identity.He was at a hideout in in Weatern Region.With the kind of collaboration between the police and the public that we have,we maanaged to nab him there''.A spokesman for interpol in Ghana said the suspect was being driven back from the port city of Takoradi to the capital Accra and would arrive late on saturday.In a statement released in London,Scotland Yard police said tthey had been...

A CHINESE MAN WAS RESCUED YESTERDAY FROM A COLD RIVER,IN ATTEMPT TO COMMIT SUICIDE.

                       According CCTV,employees at a seafood restaurant in Kunshan city in eastern China's Jiansu Province rescued an elderly man who attempted suicide by jumping into a freezing river yesterday saturday morning.Surveillance camera footage from the restaurant showed the man climbing over the stone railing and falling into a river.The restaurant's cooks at one rushed to provide first aid,with one of them jumping into the river.One more photo below.

A STAFF OF ONDO STATE COLLEGE,WAS FOUND DEAD & DECOMPOSED IN HER ROOM OVER THE WEEKEND.

                      This weekend,a staff of Adeyemi College of Education {ACE} in Ondo west local government area of Ondo state,Miss Evelyn Ajagun has been reportedly found dead in her apartment at Palmgroove street,Oka in Ondo town.Sources told pressmen that the middle age woman,whose remains was discovered at the weekend by her neighbours was already decomposed.It was learnt that Evelyn's neighbours were forced to open her door when a strange odour was traced to her apartment.one of the College's students,who is a neighbour to the deceased but who spoke under anonymity said the last time they saw Evelyn was last tuesday.She noted that the circumstances surrounding her death still remained a misery to them.But the DPO in charge of Enu Owa Division in Ondo,CSP Adekunle Omisakin said preliminary investigation revealed that Evelyn was probably sick,locked up herself until she died having had nobody to attend to her.He said the unfor...
