 Taraba: Police Commissioner Calls for Peaceful Coexistence Between Herders and Farmers The Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Ukachi Peter Opara, has urged for greater peace and understanding between herders and farmers in the state. During a meeting with the leadership of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in Jalingo on Thursday, Opara highlighted the importance of dialogue and cooperation for long-term development. He emphasized that peaceful coexistence between these groups is crucial for their livelihoods and for fostering economic growth and stability in the state and the nation. Opara commended MACBAN for its readiness to collaborate with the police in promoting peace and security in Taraba. He reassured that the police would continue to work diligently to protect lives and property and pledged to leave no stone unturned in maintaining peace and stability in the state.              According to a military source,Niger's army killed at least 30 suspected Boko Haram fighters as it searched for militants in villages just over the border with Nigeria.The army launched the operation yesterday thursday,a day after gunmen thought to be from Boko Haram crossed over from Nigeria and killed at least a dozen villagers on the Niger side of the border.''Our defense forces who are engaged in the operation inside Nigeria between the towns of Malam Fatori and Damasak,killed the insurgents on thursday''.Today friday,two suicide bombers an elderly woman and a 10 year old girl,killed at least nine people in the northeastern Nigerian city of Damaturu as worshippers gathered to mark the Muslim Eid al-Fitr holiday.

2 AIRCRAFT BELONGING TO FIRSTNATION,COLLIDED TODAY AT MMA2 IN LAGOS.

            According to sources,a tragedy was averted today friday at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 {MMA2} in Lagos following a ground collision of two aircraft belonging to FirstNation Airways.Sources gathered that the incident which happened at about mid-day involved two Airbus 330 conveying not fewer than 250 passengers.The two aircraft had their bodies partially damaged as a result of the collision.A source at the airport told pressmen that one of the aircraft was taxiing from the runway to MMA2,to disengage passengers while the other aircraft was preparing to take off to Port-Harcourt Airport from the same terminal.The source alleged that the pilot may have been misdirected by the marshals who directed the pilot to taxi to the wrong part of the apron.The Port-Harcourt bound aircraft was parked at the Gate 4 while the arriving aircraft was bound for Gate 3 of the terminal.The marshals misdirected the arriving aircraft to the same Gate as the ...

A TEACHER IN SOUTH AFRICA,JAILED 2 DAYS AGO FOR CANNING A CHILD MERCILESSLY WITH A HOSEPIPE.

               Sowetan newspaper today friday in Pretoria said that the teacher was jailed on wednesday for hitting an eight year old pupil with a hosepipe for failing a class test.The incident occurred on February 8,2014 at Gordon's Primary School in Alexandra,north of Johannesburg.The publication quoted the Magistrate Gideon Suhnetler,as saying that it was time teachers realised that corporal punishment was outlawed in South Africa.A medical doctor testified that the child suffered hand sepsis,a skin infection that changed the wound to various colours.''Her hands no longer works properly and there are fears it might not recover entirely''.The pupil also testified via a video feed that the teacher assaulted her,claiming that she had copied from another pupil.The pupils mum told the magistrate court in Alexandra Johannesburg,that the teacher offered her bribe to close the case.The teacher said she paid the money after being told to do so by her He...
