PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs. UZODIMMA FLAGS OFF ORJI-TORONTO-EGBU JUNCTION BY ROAD SAFETY AND TORONTO-EMEKUKU-UZOAGBA ROADS The Imo State Governor,  Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma today, flagged off the reconstruction of two roads, which are Orji-Toronto-Egbu Junction by Road Safety and Toronto-Emekuku-Ezeogba.  His Excellency announced that the Orji-Toronto-Egbu and Toronto-Emekuku-Uzoagba road projects will be completed and commissioned within the year.  The Governor, therefore, called on the host communities to cooperate with the contractor, Leo 9 for speedy construction in line with the contractual terms. Court adjourns FG, ASUU suit until March 28 for ruling 21 February 2023  The National Industrial Court on Tuesday adjourned the Federal government suit against the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) until March 28 for ruling. The claimants, Federal government and the Minister of Education, had dragged ASUU before the court in August 2022 over the then strike, for interpretation and application of some Trade Dispute Act (TDA). The matter before the president of the court, Justice Benedict Kanyip, came up on Tuesday for hearing of the defendant’s preliminary objection. However, when the matter was called, the defence counsel, Mr Femi Falana, SAN, informed the court that his process on Reply on Point of Law could not be filed on Monday at the court’s registry due to internet issue. He, therefore, sought for the leave of court for a short adjournment. PRINCESS OF WALES FLIPPED PANCAKE TODAY IN OXFORD TO CELEBRATE 'PANCAKE DAY'.(PHOTOS).

Happy #PancakeDay! The Princess of Wales (Kate) today visited Oxford House Nursing Home in Slough, meeting staff and residents - as well as joining in with some pancake making.  During her visit to the home, Her Royal Highness also heard more about Oxford House’s use of cutting edge, interactive technology to stimulate and enrich the daily lives of residents.  This includes the use of an interactive sensory table which was purchased in 2020 as a creative response to the pandemic and associated restrictions, and a new interactive wall which will be used to support residents with dementia. Mariah Carey and Kim Kardashian do the #ItsAWrap tik tok challenge with their daughters North and Monroe . The video was obviously made in Kim Kardashian's mansion.  Kim posted the video on Monday, featuring her daughter and their 2 big surprise guests. It started out with North and Mariah's 11-year-old daughter, Monroe, showing off their dance moves to MC's trending 2009 song, "It's A Wrap". The 2 girls do their dance routine until they're joined by their superstar moms lip-synching the track into hairbrushes. Not surprisingly, the daughters end up pushing Mariah and Kim out of frame. Fans ate up the video -- many of them were shocked MC and KK were hanging out together at Kim's Hidden Hills home. So far,over 3 million people have viewed the video on Tik tok.  Watch video below. 

MAN ARRESTED IN EKITI WITH FAKE N250,000 NEW NAIRA NOTES.(PHOTOS).

 Man arrested in Ekiti with fake new naira notes to the tune of  N250,000  Operatives of the Ekiti State Amotekun Corps have arrested a man, identified as Celestine, with counterfeited new N1,000 notes amounting to about N250,000. Celestine, who claimed he was an Anambra State born Lagos-based businessman, said he was heading from Lagos State to Isanlu in Kogi State to buy kolanut and bitter kola when he was arrested with the fake new naira notes. The suspect, who spoke at the Amotekun State headquarters, Ado Ekiti, where he was paraded with the money, described himself as victim of circumstances, saying,  “I collected the fake new naira notes from a customer in Lagos State without knowing that they were not genuine. ‘I’m Suffering’: Orji Kalu Laments Naira Crunch, Says His Family Can’t Cook Senator Orji Kalu on Monday lamented the scarcity of the naira owing to the currency redesign policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). He claims his family could not get enough money to cook recently. “You can see the policy is right but I don’t keep money in my house. I am suffering,” he said during his appearance on Channels Television’s election programme The 2023 Verdict “The other day, my house manager told my wife in Abuja that we have no money to cook food. My wife was virtually roaming around and we feed over 250 people every day. It is a problem to me and to everybody.”

For the avoidance of doubt, the Central Bank of Nigeria reiterates that in line with the directives of Mr. President, only N200 old notes are to be reissued and to circulate concurrently with the new notes.
