PSC PROMOTES OVER 8,000 POLICE OFFICERS. (PHOTO).

 PSC Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers On Wednesday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) approved the promotion of 8,053 senior police officers. Earlier in the week, 11 Commissioners of Police were promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs), and 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioners of Police (CPs). Additionally, 21 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs) were promoted to DCPs, and 57 Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) moved up to Assistant Commissioners (ACPs). According to a statement by the PSC's spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, the total number of promotions included 1,348 Superintendents of Police (SPs) promoted to Chief Superintendents, 876 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) promoted to Superintendents, and 5,829 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) promoted to DSPs. Inside the Mosque’s prayer hall, His Royal Highness heard about the history of the Mosque and signed the visitors’ book in English and Arabic. FOUR SUSPECTS HELD FOR KIDNAPPING OGUN LG VICE CHAIRMAN.{PHOTO}.

The victim was abducted along Fidi-Ipara road area of the State on January 10. The suspects paraded were Muhammad Abdullah, 25, Ibrahim Diko, 20, Gambo Abduallah 25, and Mohammed Sulaimon, 23. Addressing journalists at the police headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, the Police Commissioner, Kenneth Ebrimson said that the suspects were arrested after technical and forensic investigation. The police boss revealed that he directed the Divisional Police Officer of Isara Division to work in conjunction with other tactical teams in the command, a move that saw the victim rescued unhurt. He said that no ransom was paid for the abductors. But, our correspondent reliably gathered that the suspects collected the sum of N1.7million as ransom before they met their waterloo. ...

      A final year student of Business Administration in a private university located in Ondo State, Fisayo Adetoro, was on Thursday, January 23, 2020, found guilty of impersonation, forgery and money laundering, and sentenced to cumulative 13 years in prison and N1,000,000 (One Million Naira) fine. Adetoro, who was said to be a first class candidate on 4.5 Cumulative Grade Point Aggregate (CGPA), was convicted by Justice Folashade  Olubanjo of the Federal High Court 1, Akure, in a criminal case filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan zonal office. He was originally arraigned on January 18, 2017 on a six-count charge, but pleaded not-guilty to all the charges.          The Ibadan zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned two siblings - Olatunji Beyioku (aka Bashorun) and Oluwayomi Oluwafemi Beyioku (aka Ola 1) – for allegedly falsely presenting themselves as agent of the commission to defraud members of the public. The duo were on Thursday, January 23, dragged before Justice Mohammed Abubakar of the Federal High Court 1, sitting in Abeokuta, Ogun  State capital, on 18-count charges bordering on conspiracy, impersonation, forgery, money laundering and obtaining money under false pretenses. According to the charges, the accused persons allegedly laundered over N12,000,000 (Twelve Million Naira) and also defrauded unsuspecting victims of the sum of N404,000,000 (Four Hundred and Four Million Naira).
