 LAGOS TO PRIORITISE MERIT-BASED LEADERSHIP, STRATEGIC TEACHER RECRUITMENT TO ELEVATE EDUCATION STANDARDS The Lagos State Government is embarking on a significant transformation of its post-primary and technical education sectors, prioritising meritocracy in leadership appointments and strategically recruiting qualified teachers in core subjects. These sweeping reforms, unveiled by the Commissioner for Education, Mr. Tolani Alli-Balogun, during the Lagos State 2025 Ministerial Press Briefing held on Thursday at the Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, underscored Mr. Governor’s unwavering commitment to educational excellence. A 42 YEAR MAN ''SERE'',CROWNED YESTERDAY AS THE ''MOST UGLIEST MAN'' IN ZIMBABWE.

                        Yesterday friday,the man pictured above identified as Maison Sere was crowned Zimbabwe's ugliest man at a pub pageant in Harare.The unemployed 42 year old beat five other contestants to win 500 dollars.Maison Sere said to Journalists during a night of festivities yesterday friday,attended by 200 revellers that ''I want to thank God for winning this title,last time i came fourth.I just want to thank the judges for recognizing me as the winner''.

7 PEOPLE DEAD,IN NEW ZEALAND HELICOPTER CRASH TODAY.

                 Today saturday,Six tourists and their pilot were killed when their helicopter crashed into a heavily crevassed glacier in New Zealand during bad weather.The sightseeing helicopter plunged into the Fox Glcier,a popular tourist site on the West Coast of the south Island,with weather conditions reported to be heavily overcast and raining at the time.A paramedic and an alpine rescue team who were winched down to the crash site confirmed there were no survivors.Efforts were under way to recover the bodies but police said this could take time because of the atrocious weather.The names and nationalities of the pilot and six passengers were not immediately available.The downed helicopter was reported to belong to Alpine Adventures,a company that advertises itself as an ''Experienced helicopter flight seeing company providing visitors with a diverse range of South Island Scenic helicopter flights and private charters in some of most s...

A NEW CASE OF EBOLA VIRUS IN LIBERIA,AFTER A 10 YEAR OLD BOY TESTED POSITIVE TO THE VIRUS.

              The 10 year old boy who lived with his parents and three siblings in Paynesville,a suburb east of the capital Monovia.All six family members as well as other high risk contacts,were in care at an Ebola Treatmeant Unit in Paynesville.Their Minister of Health Bernice Dahn said ''The hospital is currently decontaminating the unit.All of the health care workers who came in contact with the patient have been notified.We know how Ebola spreads and we know to stop Ebola but we must remain vigilant and work together''.Another source Bruce Aylward,who leads the Ebola response for the World Health Organisation,said the patient had no history of contact with an Ebola survivor or victim.''The family obviously is at particular risk and are being investigated right now because two of the siblings have been unwell over the last two days so they are also being investigated''.One more photo below.                 ...
